Been Cruising on the Carnival Splendor 6 day trip to the Melbourne Cup.

Day 1 Embarkation

This all went pretty smoothly, we arrived in Sydney the day before and stay at the Ibis Budget Hotel in Darlinghurst. It was okay for one night.

Arrived at Circular Quay and dropped off our luggage. Went and had a coffee then returned. It was still before our appointment time of 12.00pm but we were able to board. This whole process was very easy.

On board we were unable to access our balcony stateroom until 1.30pm but this gave us some time to explore the ship.
