Apologies for not being around and for delays in responding to people. My mum Fiona passed away unexpectedly last week, at only 66. I feel I'm still in shock and trying to come to terms with it. She has been almost the only family I've had, and we were incredibly close.

I am so blessed to have spent a month in Europe with her one Christmas, taking her to some of my favourite places. I will cherish those memories forever.
She didn't get to travel as much as she would have liked, but she was my biggest supporter in terms of my own travelling, and She Wanders. I want to make her proud. I will travel in her memory and carry her with me forever, wherever I go.

Please give your loved ones a hug. Let them know you love them. And if you have the opportunity to travel, always take it. You just don't know how long you have. If you can travel with your own mother or daughter, I would encourage it. Those memories are priceless.

It's never too late to start. Where are you exploring next?*****

Always a favourite dish of mine when in Salzburg.
Our Christmas market tour includes dinner at a great little restaurant where you will have the opportunity to try it for yourself!

The Salzburger Nockerl are probably the most famous specialty from Salzburg. 🧑‍🍳

As if the cities of Vienna, Salzburg and Prague weren't charming enough in winter, we're going to be visiting during the lead up to Christmas. Sheer magic!

We will be visiting all different Christmas markets, from those found in the historic old parts of the cities, through to those located in the grounds of palaces and fortresses. We will stroll with our mugs of mulled wine, feast on local delicacies, and soak up the atmosphere. With a bit of luck we will have some snow to complete the picture.

We will also spend time touring the cities is so special, and unlike anything you'll be used to. Sparkling lights around every corner, crisp days spent bundled up and getting cosy, the familiar tunes of Christmas carols popping up in unexpected places, and the aroma of Christmas market treats to tempt you.

Join us on our 9 night European Christmas Market tour this December.

If you'd like further information, please visit our website, or get in touch to have a chat.

I am a big promoter of taking a class during your travels. A cooking class or an art class, as just two examples, are wonderful ways to meet people on your travels, and take back a new skill to impress your friends and family at home. It can also be the perfect souvenir that takes up little luggage space!

If you're going away for longer, you might even like to take a language class in your destination, to have more of an immersive travel experience.

On the subject of language classes, you might like to take language classes before you travel, or even use an app such as Duolingo to help you learn. You might even discover you have a hidden knack for languages, you polyglot!

Almost all of our tours have a cooking experience - from macarons to tagines, you're in for a treat.

As the old saying goes, "Paris is always a good idea." We know you'll agree with us if you join us in the ever-enchanting Paris.

Whatever you want this city to provide, it's here in spectacular abundance... food? Oui. Art? Oui. Architecture? Oui. You get the picture. It's all here, and ten days makes for a perfect introduction to the City of Light.

Our Runaway to Paris tour is a 9 night escape in late November 2023.
We've chosen this time of year with good reason.
Crowds aren't the same issue that they are during the summer months. Too many tourists can make it difficult to just enjoy the city and all it has to offer. The city is even more beautiful as it's covered in twinkling Christmas lights. The shops are dressed in their festive finery. The crisp days give the perfect excuse for mulled wine and rich brasserie fare such as Bouef Bourguignon.

Your tour host has spent 3 festive seasons in Paris, and is ready to share it all.

We will explore the individual neighbourhoods of the city. We will visit museums, spend a day at Versailles, learn to make macarons (and eat our body weight in them), enjoy a night at Moulin Rouge, hit the flea markets and department stores, and even enjoy a wine and cheese tasting in an underground cellar.

This is the Paris you've heard and dreamt of. It's a wonderful girls trip away. You might arrive on your own, but you'll leave with new friends and special memories.

Head to our website for more information or to lock in your spot. As always, I'm here if you'd love to chat about all things Paris.

Curious about India? Maybe you've been longing to see the Taj Mahal, but don't feel confident enough to head to India on your own?

We've got you!

Join us in November for a 9 night trip to India. Enjoy the excitement of Delhi, the charm and beauty of Rajasthan, and the majestic Taj Mahal. As an added bonus, we will be in India for Diwali, the festival of lights!

For the traveller with a sense of adventure and humour, India will delight you, and get under your skin in a way that no other country can. You will find yourself wanting to return again and again. India stays with you forever.

We will stay in a combination of havelis, heritage properties, and 5 star hotels.

We will eat wonderful food, and even enjoy a cooking class, giving you the skills to recreate some of our meals back home.

We explore forts and palaces, unlike anything you've ever seen.

We explore Jaipur in a fleet of pink rickshaws, as our female drivers take us to their favourite places to eat.

We celebrate Diwali, the glorious festival of light, Our hotel invites us to join in their special Diwali celebrations. Fireworks and firecrackers ring out across the city.

We end our tour in Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. For me, my first visit to the Taj Mahal will always be one of the greatest days of my life. I'm confident you will feel the same way.

You will have the company of like-minded women, a local tour guide, a driver and private vehicle, and an Australian tour host.

Masala chai is the elixir of the Gods, and no one will convince me otherwise.

In India this spiced tea is found everywhere. In fact, tea vendors (known as chai wallahs) can be found dotted along the streets right throughout the country.

Have you ever stayed in a riad?

A riad is a traditional Moroccan house, centred around an internal courtyard that resembles a private oasis.

The smaller riads will generally have a water feature, plants, seating, and check out the magnificent tiles!

Larger riads with normally have a small swimming pool also.

Rooms in a riad face inwards. This allows them to enjoy the courtyard, as well as keeping that Moroccan heat out.

Think of a riad as a guesthouse, or a bed and breakfast. The service is warm and personal, and the food is wonderful! Don't be surprised if some of the best food of your holiday is found at your riad.

Our Morocco tour finds us staying in jaw-droppingly beautiful riads. Limited spots available for our February 2024 tour, so hold your spot with a deposit.

So, about Morocco...

I don't mean to brag (well, maybe just a tad), but our Luxe Moroccan Adventure is simply stunning.

From the unmistakable dunes of the Sahara Desert, the medina of Marrakech, local artisans, incredible food, warm hospitality, and the ruins of Volubilis - Morocco has it all.

When we say small group tours, we actually mean it! We travel with a maximum group size of 12 guests, though this number will likely be less. With us, you won't be just a number.

Our 11 night luxury tour of Morocco begins in Casablanca, on February 22, 2024.

We stay in a gorgeous mix of accommodation, from boutique riads to 5 star hotels. We even spend a night in the Sahara, in a luxury campsite.

We will see and experience so much together - exploring the Sahara Desert by camel, learning the secrets of Moroccan cooking with a tagine cooking class, a vintage sidecar tour of Marrakech, dining with locals, wine tasting, seeking out goats in a tree (yes, you read that correctly), visiting local artisans.

All this in the company of like-minded women, a local tour guide, and an Australian tour host.

Shared accommodation, with the option to upgrade to a private room - be quick, limited number available.

Head to our website (link in bio) for further information to learn more, or to hold your spot with a deposit.

I'm always here for a chat if you have any questions.

Let's talk about food for a moment. Actually, you'll find I talk about food for many moments 😂

Food is such a strong part of travelling. It's one of the easiest ways to get to the heart of a culture. Dine amongst the locals and you break down the wall, you interact, you talk, you laugh.
I will always be in awe over the way food brings us together.

Our tours all have a strong food focus. Take our beautiful tours to India, for example. Indian food is absolutely spectacular. We'll have a whole range of experiences for you:

🍴Lunch in the grounds of a palace, with peacocks roaming

🍴A cooking class to learn the tricks and wow everyone back home

🍴Al Fresco dining on gorgeous warm nights

🍴Spicy chai enjoyed on a rooftop as we watch the sun go down

🍴Adventures in a fleet of pink rickshaws, as our female drivers take us to their favourite places to eat

A tour with us is the promise of great food!

All tours are listed on our website, see the link in bio. Our Indian tour of the Golden Triangle will be running in November for Diwali and again in March for Holi.

Well hi there! I know it's been a while. A long while. I have some news: we're back!

I've hated being away from this for so long. Truth be told, it absolutely broke my heart. But I just couldn't come back when travel was so unstable. It wouldn't have been fair on me or most importantly, you.

I've been working away in the background. You might have seen that I'm writing for a wonderful new travel magazine geared towards solo travellers and aside from that, I've been creating some truly special, bucket list holidays. I'll also be blogging regularly, to share tips, tricks and inspiration for your travels.

We're starting off with India for Diwali, Paris, and European Christmas Markets (Prague, Salzburg and Vienna). Next year we have India for Holi festival, and Morocco. And more adventures to follow!

I can't wait to share this journey with you again! I'd love to know how you've all been, and what you've been up to. Any exciting travels?

So it's about time... we're back! We're about to show off a brand new website and logo, and new tours!
I'm also very excited to announce that I am a contributor to a great new travel magazine for solo travellers, launching in March. I would highly recommend following along for the journey. It's jam packed with stories and advice, along with beautiful photography from interesting and knowledgeable contributors
It has been very hard to keep this one to myself!
I'm really looking forward to the relaunch and reconnecting with everyone ❤

So this happened. One month today!

I've been quiet on social media this year. Obviously with no tours running, and no leaving the country for those of us in Australia, I've been quietly watching, waiting and planning as best I can for when we can explore again, and all as we planned our wedding (originally meant to be in 2020, but cancelled because of lockdowns, etc).
Now that our wedding has finally taken place I look forward to putting that extra time and energy into having some gorgeous tours ready for when we can get out there again x

Well here's an unexpected story. Can't say I've thought to do this one...

Frequent flyer and airplane meal fan Nik Sennhauser hasn't been on a flight for a year. To get through lockdown, he's been going through photos and menus of his favorite inflight meals -- and teaching himself how to cook them from scratch.

And still we wait. Who else is waiting for their next adventure?

And still we wait. Who else is waiting for their next adventure?

One year ago today I boarded a plane to India, not knowing what to expect. It truly was a life changing experience and set the wheels in motion for my own tour company. That crazy, beautiful country changed me. I knew I wouldn't be happy continuing on the path I was on. That trip changed me.
I am so grateful to the people I met, and the treasured friendships made.

And although the tourism industry is currently a bit of a mess (sadly not unlike many other industries), I am taking steps to ensure my company is still here on the other side of this mess. I believe in what I am doing, I believe in this industry and my operators, and most importantly, I believe in myself.

At the moment it's one day at a time, and I will keep you all updated on any changes I need to make. Please know that any choice made will be in the best interests of my community, my company and guests, and the countries we visit. We're all in this together.

If you have any questions or ideas, I'm always here for a chat. Stay safe everyone ❤
