Sunset Paddle - after a day of Reimagining Birrarung for 2070 with the ngvmelbourne and RiverFest @ yarrariverkeeper ✨ On Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country

We paddled as the sun was setting, taking us from day to night, when the bats started taking flight. We grouped up under wurun (woi wurrung for mana gum) and dropped deeper into the space, listening. Listening to what we could hear as day turned to night. Listening and watching with gratitude - for the privilege of being immersed in this space. Slowly our perception changed from being on top of a boat in a foreign space to gliding back down with the mighty Birrarung, cradling our listening, our seeing.
