I’ve spent the past few weeks exploring Brazil and connecting with people interested in the incredible opportunities Australia has to offer.

It was fantastic to host an engaging and interactive information session on migration to Australia in São Paulo. I also had the chance to meet some of my clients in person—a refreshing change from video calls—and hear from Flavia and Andre, who are currently going through the migration process, as well as others who shared their successful experiences of starting a new life in Australia.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined and made the session such a success!

If you’re interested in exploring migration opportunities to Australia, DM me—I’d love to help you take the next step!

The introduction of Caveat 14 is set to create significant challenges for the Australian hospitality sector. This fast-evolving situation restricts the eligibility of key roles, such as chefs, to nationals from countries with formal trade agreements with Australia, limiting our access to diverse talent. As part of an alliance of leading migration law experts, I am highlighting the massive impact this will have on our industry and the broader implications for work visas and migration to Australia. We are lobbying hard for change to ensure that our hospitality sector remains viable. 👉 Follow us for further updates as we navigate this critical issue and advocate for the survival of our hospitality industry.

Today marks a significant milestone for Imran and Dawn. After twelve years of patient waiting, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal has finally granted a favorable decision, clearing the path for their long-awaited reunion with their daughter.

I’m absolutely thrilled for their family and grateful for the role I played in this journey. It’s wins and moments like these that truly make me love what I do.

Today marks International Women’s Day, and this year’s theme centres around inclusion—a concept I’ve contemplated in relation to my work and its impact.

For over two decades, I’ve assisted women globally in finding refuge within Australia. These women, often escaping horrendous circumstances such as violence, persecution, and war, come from realities beyond many of our comprehensions.

I’ve encountered women who’ve lived in refugee camps for years with their children, women fleeing war-torn regions like Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, and those escaping persecution just because they are, women... I’m incredibly humbled and grateful to have played a role in integrating them into Australian communities.

Moreover, my reflection extends to international women already here in Australia, yet remain marginalised, trapped in situations of family violence. These women desperately need pathways to secure their stay and emerge from temporary visas that leave them without rights.

Advocating for mechanisms like a family violence visa is something I’ve pushed for, aiming to bring these women out of the shadows, ensuring their safety, and fostering their inclusion within our communities. The implementation of such visas is urgent and necessary.

So, on this International Women’s Day I stand and advocate for and support the inclusion of every woman in our society.
