Do you the first step for general skilled migration is to get your skills assessed.

Skill assessment is the process to verify the skills and education of the migranting applicants .

FAQ :- How do i increase my chances of EOI invitations by department of home affairs for Permanent residency visa?

Increasing your chances of receiving an Expression of Interest (EOI) invitation from the Department of Home Affairs for a Permanent Residency visa can be influenced by several factors. Here are some tips to maximize your chances:

1. Occupation and its skill assessment:- The Department of Home Affairs regularly updates the Skilled Occupation List (SOL), which includes occupations that are in demand. Having a occupation on the SOL increases your chances of receiving an invitation , but most importantly, one must have a valid skill assessment before lodging EOI.

2. Points: Obtain the highest possible points on the Points Test. Points are awarded based on factors such as age, English language proficiency, work experience, education qualifications, and other relevant criteria. The higher your points, the more likely you are to receive an invitation. 65 is the minikum point scores requirement for skilled migration.

3. Skill Assessment: Ensure that your skills are assessed by the relevant assessing authority for your occupation. A positive skill assessment is mandatory for most skilled visa categories.

4. State Nomination: Consider applying for state or territory nomination. Some states and territories in Australia have their own skilled occupation lists and provide additional points for state nomination. This can significantly increase your chances of receiving an invitation.

5. Improve English Language Skills: Achieving a higher score in English language proficiency tests, such as IELTS or PTE, can contribute to additional points. Consider undertaking English language courses or practicing regularly to improve your language skills. Having a skilled partner has greatly influenced the invitation chances this financial year. If your spouse does not have a skill assessment, it is highly recommended to have at least Competent English.

6. Work Experience: Gain relevant work experience in your nominated occupation. The more experience you have, the higher your chances of receiving an invitation.

7. Regional Areas: Consider applying for visas that require you to live and work in regional areas. These visas often have lower points requirements and can provide additional benefits.

8. Stay Updated: Regularly check the Department of Home Affairs website for updates on visa requirements, occupation lists, and changes in the points system as well as having expert advice such as a Registered Migration Agent/ legal professional can influence your PR Journey greatly. Staying informed will help you adapt and increase your chances of receiving an invitation.

It is important to note that meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee an invitation. The number of invitations issued is subject to the annual migration program, which can vary each year.

๐Ÿšจ Attention all visa holders and potential applicants! ๐Ÿšจ
Recent immigration changes in Australia for 2024:

Ending Onshore Visa Hopping:
Starting July 1, 2024, visitor visa (SC 600) holders and temporary graduate (SC 485) visa holders will not be able to apply for student (SC 500) visas onshore. This change aims to prevent visa hopping and encourage more permanent residency prospects.

Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) Increase:
The TSMIT has been raised from AUD 70,000 to AUD 73,150. This ensures that temporary skilled workers are fairly compensated and protects the Australian labor market. Employers must adhere to this new threshold when sponsoring skilled workers.

Changes to Visa Conditions for 482, 457, and 494 Visas:
Temporary work (skilled) (Sc 457) visa holders, temporary skill shortage (Sc 482) visa holders, and skilled employer-sponsored regional (provisional) (Sc 494) visa holders who stop working with their sponsoring employer will have more time to find a new sponsor, apply for a different visa, or arrange to depart Australia.
They can work for other employers for up to 180 days at a time or a maximum of 365 days across the entire visa grant period.
Visa holders must remain in their nominated occupation while working for their existing sponsor.

Sponsors must report any changes within 28 days, including ceasing sponsorship or a visa holderโ€™s resignation.
Visa holders must comply with licensing or registration requirements for their nominated occupation.
Remember that these changes apply to existing visa holders and those granted visas on or after July 1, 2024. Any periods of not working for a sponsor before this date wonโ€™t count toward the new time limits.

KK Migration Consultants is here to help you navigate them all. From ending onshore visa hopping to increasing the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold, we've got you covered every step of the way.

Need assistance with your visa application or sponsorship requirements? Look no further than KK Migration Consultants. Our team of experts is ready to provide you with top-notch service and support to ensure a smooth immigration process.
