our local organic shop and anything labelled organic baby found a spot on our kitchen shelves. As a parent ourselves, we know what it’s like to keep our eyes peeled on different healthy food and snacks to feed your growing baby and fussy toddler. But why the organic phenomenon you ask? Organic food and produces don’t have nasties such as synthetic chemicals, pesticides, fertilisers or genetically modified organisms (GMO). Produces are grown and processed without the use of any of these and all use environmentally sustainable practices. This in turns translates into more nutritious food, clothes and products free from toxins! Here at Little Organics, we’ve sourced a large variety of organic baby food and goodies for babies 4months+ from reputable certified organic suppliers such as Bellamy’s, Organic Bubs and Gaia so that we can make it easy for you to browse and shop for your lil ones all in the one convenient place. We understand how busy it can be being a parent. We can’t remember the countless number of times we’ve run around and not found our baby’s favourite porridge because not all organic stores carry it! As we've evolved, we've sourced all the best products to cover you from pregnancy, creating that toxin free nursery to nurturing and nourishing them everyday with natural and organic products. Kids toys these days are just so aesthetically pleasing! I love this little setup for a whiteboard and bookshelf in one so that it’s not one of those items where you need to move on as they grow up.

When we moved, it gave me the opportunity to reorganize our books and being lockdown, I was watching a lot of Marie Kondo and the Home edit so my kids gasped when they saw that I had attempted to organise by the colours of the rainbow. Lol. Couple years on, it’s still neat and organised since they know exactly where home is (or I do when I have to pack up! 😂)

When things are pretty, it just makes things better, wouldn’t you agree?

World Mental Health Day - Take a moment for a cup of tea.

Do you know that having a coffee or drink with a friend is healthy for your mental well-being?

The chance for connection, conversation and understanding is apart of our innate human desire.

Struggle for time?

Apparently research has found that just 8 minutes to connect can make all the difference!

In a research in 2021 reported extensively in the New York Times ‘those fortunate enough to receive calls a few times a week experienced a significant reduction in levels of depression, loneliness, and anxiety.

At the end of the day, eight minutes of a friend’s time can make all the difference in the world. Best of all, it’s only eight minutes. “Eight minutes! When somebody texts you ‘Do you have eight minutes?’ Any of us can pause a movie, step out of a meeting, or leave a room to talk to a friend in need for eight minutes,” says Simon’ Sinek from The Optimism Company.

Sometimes it’s the small things that makes a big difference. So make time for that coffee, that catch-up or pick up the phone for your 8 minute catch-up!

Post Partum soak

What is a Sitz bath?

A sitz bath is a warm, shallow bath for cleansing the perineal area.

The combination of rich magnesium, Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate, Chamomile, Comfrey, Calendula, Yarrow flowers, Marshmallow root, Lavender flowers, Bergamot Oil helps to stimulate blood flow, fight infection, heal tears, and reduce swelling.

Dissolving them in a warm bath and then bathing in them encourages absorption into the skin, boosting the body’s Magnesium levels.

Magnesium is also know to help relax and improve sleep quality aiding in the reduction of tiredness, fatigue, and anxiety.

Make your own sanitizer! Gosh this corona is making the aisle look so empty and hand sanitizer are out everywhere. Gorgeous Sig, our expert who hosts our masterclasses have been teaching us how to make our sanitizer for a while so if you have Doterra oils already or have friends who have onguard lying around, why not get together and make some of your own! And that’s Lela’s mum if you have been following our recent post 💕 one more thing, hand sanitizer is great but washing your hands still beats using it so if you have the facilities, wash your hands, with soap for 30seconds! Sanitizers are good for when there isn’t water and is better than nothing. And gosh, my hands have never been so clean I think. After sanitizer, people are going to need to bulk up on hand cream after all the excessive washing we are doing! 😬 stay safe 😘
