The wilds of Sigriya, staying at - Centre for Eco-cultural Studies (CES) Such a great place to get back into nature, meet the local villagers and maybe even volunteer for some animal welfare programs. The rawness, the beauty, the quiet splendour, the staff and the life dedication of the owners to make difference to the elephants, animals and their community is mind blowing and very humbling. I took my children here in 2009, they were 11, 15, 18. They fell in love with this place and the owners. I spent two nights on this trip and I wasn’t disappointed. I didn’t see elephants, but that’s ok, I spent time listening to the stillness, reflecting and learnt cooking on the open fire with the beautiful staff.
