As we approach the holidays, I’ve been reminiscing on one of my favourite cities at my favourite time of the year. I’m a winter girly through and through, so New York in winter has always been a must.
My first trip to NYC was new years 2013 and I fell in love with with city. We spent New Year’s Eve just off time square, we saw the ball drop, and the following day I saw snow in a major city for the first time ever - it was just beautiful (until it turned to sludge…). Although when I went back in 2018 we didn’t have snow, and it wasn’t NYE but our first day was Black Friday…and the 2 degrees (Celsius) was a welcome change from the -13 in Boston!

🍂HAPPY THANKSGIVING🍂
Back in 2018 we were in Boston for what they were calling the “coldest Thanksgiving ever”. With a limited amount of time, and one of our 2.5 days everything being closed due to Turkey day, we crammed a lot of exploring in. Boston is an amazing city, that made me feel like I was at home and our Thanksgiving dinner is still a meal I think about 5 years later it was that delicious!!!

Today we said our goodbyes to the most wonderful man we simply called dad - a friend to all and a father to most - Seamus Moloughney waved goodbye with one final wink and smile to ye all - he loved, lived and laughed - his love for his two homes in Ireland and Australia were matched only by the love he had for his family and friends.

From Two-Mile Borris to Melbourne Séamus made the most of it on and off the golf course and used his greatest super power ever - his genuine love for people. He knew what it felt like to be distanced from home and did his all to connect those he met along the way. “Up Tipp” - he would scream - “Tipperary - The Capital of Ireland” - you’ve done so much for others / now let us celebrate the man, the brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Chris, Pat, Rebecca, Darcy and Ava xx

🇦🇹 VIENNA 🇦🇹
The capital of Austria, does not disappoint. A city that embraces the old and the new and does it in such a perfect way.

Whilst I only had a short visit to Vienna, and I must go back, we had a very special reason to visit and that was to see the Spanish Riding School performance. A bucket list item of mine to see the beautiful Lipizzaner horses in their world famous Ballet of the White Stallions. Something I could not recommend enough.
