PASSPORT PRICE INCREASE FROM JULY 1 2024

Do you need to apply for a new passport? Consider applying soon to avoid a major price increase set to kick in from 01 July 2024.

10-year adult (16+) passports will increase by 15% from $346 to $401.

5-year child passports will also increase by 15% from $175 to $202

Urgent 2-day and 5-day issuance will still be available at $252 & $100 respectively.

Remember your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date for international travel

Angela took this amazing photo. TRAIN STREET is located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The train tracks were laid down during the French colonial period in Vietnam. Over time, the surrounding area developed into a bustling residential neighborhood. It's important for visitors to adhere to safety guidelines when visiting Train Street, so please watch your step!

BUSINESS CLASS from Budapest to Melbourne, what an experience!

It’s all about the experience from start to finish when travelling Business Class with Emirates. Being a first timer in Business Class with this airline I am excited. There are so many positives. Not having to queue, instead express check-in. Priority boarding and disembarkation. Glass of Moët & Chandon before take-off. Then you are spoilt for choice. Multi choice menu including light bites. Quality beverages. Time for a movie, or two. Upon arrival in Dubai, explore the Business Class Lounge which is huge. Enjoy a shower, a café late before boarding the Airbus A380-800 to Melbourne. Now in addition to the multi choice menu, maybe a cocktail at the bar, and a bar snack. Your flight attendant places a mattress topper on your seat then you recline to lay flat, pop on your eye mask and drift off to sleep. And after flying for over 21 hours in total including a stop in Dubai, collect bags which are tagged as priority, clear customs, and immigration proceed into the arrivals hall to find your chauffeur transfer to take you home. And that’s what you pay for.
Business Class is in high demand. If you are planning to travel in Business Class, please secure your flights early to avoid disappointment.

Regensburg is yet another charming city. Cobblestoned streets, cafes, and one of the oldest sausage kitchens in Germany …. What is one to do?

Enjoyed the commentary of our local guide then relaxed with an iced coffee and took in the surroundings.

Then it was Salzburg, Mozart, and the Sound of Music or Cesky Krumlov. Flip a coin as both are highlights. For me, the UNESCO-listed Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic with its Renaissance facades of painted houses, traditional artisan shops, medieval taverns, and maze-like alleyways was a delight.

Located at the entrance of the Main Danube canal, is the World Heritage listed Bamberg with its iconic Town Hall which sits on a man-made island. Bamberg sits in a region that boasts over 300 breweries. Bamberg’s specialty is a unique variety of smoked beer (Rauchbier).

Then after yet another splendid feed on board ms AmaStella, we cruised overnight to Nuremburg. A city tour then time at leisure in Nuremburg’s Market Square to sample some of the locally made gingerbread.

The next two days on our APT European River Cruise took us to the quaint town of Miltenberg and after some shopping we cruised overnight to Wurzburg.

I opted for the Rothenburg morning tour. The charming medieval walled town of Rothenburg is full of character and charm. Original buildings dating from the Middle Ages. Towers, taverns, and town gates alternate with fountains, fortifications, and former storehouses. Stroll the cobblestone streets. Take a moment to sip a coffee accompanied by a Schneeball (snowball) and buy a Christmas souvenir from the Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas shop.

The weather is stunning and the scenery even more so, enjoyed from the top deck of our river ship ms AmaStella as we cruise through the Rhine Gorge.

Upon docking in Rudesheim a scenic Gondola ride had me gliding over emerald green vineyards to where Niederwalddenkmal monument stands tall. Back in town sampled a Rudesheimer Kaffee. This alcholic coffee drink is found in most cafes throughout town.

Day 3 - Afternoon canapes and a glass of sparkling at Burg Namedy Castle, with an amazing pianist who performed exclusively for APT guests. After dinner we walked through the old town of Koblenz.
