Two nights at the stunning winery resort Viñas Queirolo 350km south of Lima with visits to spectacular Paracas National park along the coastline, a visit and hilarious pisco tasing at the America's oldest operating distillery, visit to the striking Huacachina Oasis and the highlight and grand finale, a flight over the famed and mysterious Nazca Lines!

Day 2 on board the stunning M/Y Grand Queen Beatriz:

Visits to Santa Fe and Plaza Sur islands with our amazing local Galapagos Islands Naturalist Guide Roberto!

In between those visits our first of many snorkelling adventures playing with fun and curioys sea-lions! 🦭

Playful sea-lions, land iguanas, lava lizards, amazing birdlife and spectacular remote scenery!

Hard to keep up!

Day 2 of our 10-day Quito and Galapagos Islands adventure:

Early start with transfer to Quito International airport with one hour flight south to Guayaquil (Ecuador's second biggest city) before the tea hour flight west too the Isla Baltra on the Galapagos!

Bus and boat transfer over a channel and onto the main island of Santa Cruz to the southern end of the island to then catch a zodiac out to our floating home for the next seven nights, M/Y Grand Queen Beatriz!

Meet the crew (including our fun and enigmatic Naturalist Guide Roberto!) lunch on board before back onto shore and visiting a Giant Tortoise Sanctuary to get up-close-and-personal with these iconic locals. A quick visit to a fascinating lave tube tunnel.

Time to explore Puerto Ayora, the Galapagos Island's biggest city (20,000) before back on board, dinner, formal meet the crew and ready to kick-off seven nights abroad our 5-star motor yacht!

For any of the many guests who have joined on either any of my 14-day "Arctic Circle and Auroras" winter adventures or my 25-day "Splendours of Scandinavia" (or 17-day version in 2015!) trips then you most likely met champion husky dog-sledders Trine and her daughter Hanna at Trasti & Trine husky dog-sled centre in Alta, northern Norway.

The world's second longest husky dog-sled race, the Finnmarksløppet just kicked-off yesterday in Alta and 25yo Hanna is once again competing under the name Team Lyrek.

1,200km starting in Alta, travelling up and over the barren and spectacular Finnmark Plateau (which we travel over as part of my winter tours), into Karasjok (where we stay for the evening in winter) then they travel NNE right up to the top right hand-corner of Norway to Kirkenes and back!
