No, this is not AI. This is Jinghong City in China a couple of weeks ago for the first day of what’s known as the Water-Splashing Festival, a traditional festival for the Dai people in the Dehong area of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. Part of the celebrations for Dai New Year that last a couple of days, night one sees the sky lights up as lanterns are released into the sky and for those wondering, they’re all cleaned up the following day by workers and volunteers.
