A Piece of Altona History is Returned
 
The Property Developer behind Voyage Altona (102-106 Pier St, Altona Vic 3018) is Spacious Group who have a strong residential property development pipeline in the market. November 8, Dan Xia and Roger Wang from the Spacious Group presented the Altona Hospital plaque to Altona Laverton Historical Society archivist President Own Hyde.
 
Owen expressed the society’s gratitude for the safe return of the historical marker indicating the original location of the Altona community hospital, which was the first step in the development of a permanent medical service for Altona in 1932. The facilities were the first hospital established in the metropolitan area which was based on the bush nursing principle. Owen, went on to day, that the society was appreciative of the property group ensuring that this piece of history was retained and retained so that it might be preserved for future generation.
