A fantastic video by two of the industry's great supporters, Minister for Tourism and Trade Don Farrell and Senator Helen Polley.

In the 2022 Federal Budget, Minister Farrell delivered funding for the Caravan Park Infrastructure Upgrade Grant Program - seeing 111 caravan parks across the country receive funding to upgrade park infrastructure.

Aside from being the co-convenor of the Parliamentary Friends of Caravanning Group (along with the Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz MP), Senator Polley is deeply active and engaged in the industry. Walking the talk with her support for the industry and all that it means to Australia, and of course her beloved state of Tasmania!

A big congratulations to the fabulous award recipients at the Caravan Industry National Conference last week. It was our absolute honour to celebrate the incredible dedication of individuals and organisations to industry through the announcement of seven prestigious award recipients.

These included the industry's highest award - the Eric Hayman Award as well as the Richard OAM Award, Chairman’s Award, Gerry Ryan OAM Award for Innovation and RV Boss Future Leaders Award that collectively recognise outstanding contribution to the industry, to the association and to the future of the industry.

What an wonderful way to reconnect and be inspired as our industry embarks on a journey of recovery and rebound. Congratulations to each of the worthy recipients.

As camping becomes increasingly popular with Australians, with RV registrations surpassing 741,000, safety is very much front of mind for Caravan Industry Association of Australia! Ahead of the Easter period we are taking proactive approaches to connect with travellers as a timely reminder to be mindful of safety.

Caravan Industry Association of Australia will continue to undertake a social and digital awareness campaign via its consumer brand ‘Let’s Go Caravan & Camping’ that focuses on pre-planning, in-trip and at your caravan holiday park messaging.

Key messaging will include towing, fatigue management, rest and truck stop usage, the importance of pre-planning and focus on pool usage and shared spaces in caravan parks.

We are delighted to publicly announce that Caravan Industry Association of Australia is determined to proceed with the 2021 National Conference and are actively promoting registrations again.

Already over 300 delegates have registered for this important industry event.
