I wasn't originally planning to post about this and I'm not looking for praise, but I want to keep everyone informed. To continue organizing these charters, I need to share our experiences. I apologize for not updating sooner about our first "Fishing with Young Legends" charter. Some of you were eager to hear how it went. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped make this happen. While I aim to keep the kids' privacy a priority, after discussing with their parents, we all agreed on sharing a photo, hoping it might inspire others to get their young ones involved in the few next charter.
yesterday marked our first charter fishing trip with the Fishing Young Legends Cause. Despite some initial nerves, the day unfolded beautifully. After a reassuring discussion with Possum and Jayson, we set out , and their expertise quickly comforted everyone. The fishing started strong with a young lady catching a sizable whiting, setting a hopeful tone. Although the fish were slow to bite initially and required a few location changes, Jayson's precise navigation eventually found us a productive spot. The kids were particularly impressive, especially one young boy who, alongside his dad, expertly landed fish after fish. Another seasoned young angler showed his skill, and I knew immediately he was perfect for this charter.
Possum shone throughout the day, skillfully hooking fish and sharing rods with the eager kids, while Jayson handled the charter with utmost professionalism. I played the role of bait maid, ensuring everyone's hooks were ready. As the wind eased and the sun began to set, it was incredibly rewarding to see the kids' perseverance and enjoyment.
Thanks again to Chris, the support worker who orchestrated everything seamlessly.
