"This trip has been nothing short of amazing! Huge shoutout to Peter, our incredible Intrepid leader, for ensuring we're safe, happy, and having the best time.🙌🏾✨ From Jeonju to Yeosu, it's been all about great food, awesome finds, and nonstop exploring. 🇰🇷🍜 It has incredible street food, K-Pop, and sunsets—what more could we ask for? Feeling beyond lucky to travel with my bestie, big mozz. South Korea, you've been epic!" -Intrepid traveller Allira on our 9-day Essential South Korea trip. ✨ #OnlyIntrepid
South Africa to Zimbabwe road trip loading!
Another amazing Intrepid trip in the books, and let me tell you – this one was PEAK adventure! In 8 days, we:
• Drove 1,200+ miles in our bus named ‘Monster’
• Visited 3 countries (4 if you count ‘touching’ the Zambia border!)
• Got 8 passport stamps
• safari’d through 2 national parks
• Met a group of women taking on South Africa’s poachers (more on this later!)
• Stood at the edge of the 2nd-largest waterfall in the world
• Saw the Big 5! - elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions, and buffalo
• AND spotted giraffes from a helicopter!
Overlanding in Africa definitely takes patience and adaptability. But for all the long drives and the long border crossings, the payoff of seeing some of the most wild places exactly as they are is so special, and so worth it.
Animal lovers, road trip warriors, and anyone who’s ever dreamed of going on safari like I have, this one is for you. Stay tuned as I recap some highlights from the trip! #OnlyIntrepid #IntrepidTravel
I’ll show you! 🇲🇦 Four days hiking through the M’goun Valley on Intrepid’s Morocco: Women’s Expedition, and ‘trip of a lifetime’ doesn’t even come close to describing this adventure. We broke bread with Amazigh families, we splashed through the Agouti Gorge, we danced, we sang, got very muddy and made memories impossible to forget. 💛#OnlyIntrepid

“When my father passed away, it felt like [visiting Timor Leste] wasn’t even a question anymore. He was 21 when Indonesia invaded Timor in 1975 and was fortunate to board a ship to Australia. He had never been back. This video is a special moment from the Matak Malirin ceremony in the small mountain settlement of Rabilau on my recent Intrepid trip. One of them prayed for me and said that although Dad’s not with us, they know he is happy. It was a really special moment because they all had features similar to Dad and were of similar age. Just seeing this group of people, who look very similar to Dad, and having them welcome me back to the land and give me this blessing – it felt so surreal and so special to feel so connected to him again.”
Discover Japan with Intrepid Guide and Traveller Andrew
What does an Intrepid #Antarctica Expedition and Photography Guide do in their time off? "That is a good question!" Andrew shares.🤔
"As a guide, I've travelled around the world, from the Baltics and Asia to New Zealand, and spent a lot of time in Antarctica. But Japan was always on my mind as it has such a rich history yet is so modern. It really piqued my curiosity. And it did not disappoint. The food was incredible, and the group and I visited places owned by the same family for over 1,000 years–a millennium is hard even to comprehend.
I also love to be immersed in experiences. As you can imagine, being a photographer in Antarctica is full of action. So, I love learning new skills and getting involved while travelling. It might've taken me a few tries to hit the archery targets, but I got there eventually!"

Exploring Central America with Intrepid Traveller Jamie

It was an incredible 3-week trip through…
📍 Guatemala
📍 Honduras
📍 El Salvador

📍 Costa Rica
Each country being so unique and full of surprises 😍. With only a little Spanish, we embraced the journey, learning and soaking in the beauty of each country along the way. Each moment was an opportunity to connect with locals and hear their inspiring stories.
The highlight was truly immersing in the culture, meeting incredible people, and experiencing the warmth and hospitality that made this journey unforgettable. ❤️"

"I'm from Sri Lanka, so taking this trip in my home country was really interesting. It's like I got to rediscover my homeland all over again, and was really an eye-opening experience. Travelling with a fantastic group brought fresh energy and joy and made all the difference. We explored ancient kingdoms like Sigiriya, where history came alive, and marvelled at elephants gathering in Minneriya National Park and the wild beauty of Yala. Each moment felt magical. ✨ The food was a journey of its own—authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry enjoyed against stunning backdrops. The warm hospitality of the locals made every meal special. This trip wasn't just about seeing places; for me it was about reconnecting with the heart of Sri Lanka." -Intrepid traveller and team member Ravindu on our 14-day Premium Sri Lanka in Depth. 🇱🇰
“These are the sights and sounds of trekking 10 kilometers through the M’Goun Valley in Morocco. 🇲🇦 Our Intrepid leader, Mohammed, seemed to glide over the cliffs. This experience felt particularly meaningful as we passed through small communities nestled in the valley. Some experiences are more special than others, and this was one of them. You can truly lose yourself in the sounds, smells, and colours of Morocco. It was a dream come true.🌵”-Intrepid traveller Crystal on our 13-day Morocco Uncovered trip. ✨
"People often ask if I ever get tired of trekking to Everest Base Camp. After 25 treks with over 350 people, I can honestly say no. 🫶 Each trek feels like a new adventure, even on the same path. The mountains always have something new to offer—whether it’s a breathtaking sunrise, a fresh group of trekkers, or a quiet moment of peace. The mountains energize me and give me purpose. Trekking in the Himalayas is special because it brings people closer—to nature, each other, and themselves. Life in the mountains is simple and real. We share stories, face challenges together, and support one another. It’s easy to connect with people when walking side by side, surrounded by such beauty. As an Intrepid leader, my advice to any trekker is to come with an open heart and a spirit of adventure. The mountains will challenge you, but they will also give you strength."-Intrepid leader Phurba on leading our 15-day Everest Base Camp trip. 🇳🇵
“Never thought I’d get this close to animals like these. 🐘😍 On a game drive in the Serengeti, my partner and I were surrounded by elephants—a moment we’ll never forget. The number of animal encounters was unbelievable. We saw the Big Five in ONE day, which our Intrepid leader said was rare! From giraffes to leopards in trees to hippos basking in the sun, it was a ‘pinch me’ moment I’ll remember forever. I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed camping every night. I camp a bit at home, but 30 straight days of setting up and taking down a tent was actually so fun and comfortable—I could’ve done another 30 days!” -Intrepid traveller Bec on our 37-day Johannesburg to Kenya tour. 💛
"Setting off on my first solo trip, I realized true adventure begins outside our comfort zones. 🤘 Excited to explore Central America's rich cultures and landscapes but wanting to go with someone, I joined Intrepid for a seven-week Central America trip. Though nervous about being in a group of strangers, my worries quickly melted away. I met amazing travellers and made lasting friendships. The tour leaders were a blast, adding even more fun to the trip. This adventure became one of the most significant of my life and is hard to put into words. I want to inspire other solo travellers to take the plunge. Do it. Trust me, you'll have unbelievable experiences." -Intrepid traveller Amy on our 45-day Epic Central America trip. 🥰
"Intrepid's partnership with Ama Sacred Valley and organizations like it are so important!" - Intrepid traveller Anela (Feed The Malik) on our 15-day Premium Peru in Depth trip. 🇵🇪
