After returning from the cuttlefish aggregation in South Australia, it would be wonderful if the Victorian Government introduced similar protective measures to safeguard the Spider Crab aggregation in Port Phillip Bay. 🦀🦀🦀🦀
we urge the Victorian State Gov to protect and conserve the Spider crabs during their migration and moulting and ban their harvesting from all piers jetties and structures during this period
We are lucky to have such a spectacle in Port Phillip Bay and in such accessible locations and we hope it can be better managed so it can continue to astound for generations to come.

Faced with an enduring ocean mystery and next to no money, researchers studying thousands of crabs on Australia's southern coast have turned to the public for help.
