Alex & Maria out in Aust🇦🇺on holiday from Minnesota🇺🇸had a busy day yesterday🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️hiking Mt Oberon at Wilson’s Prom before heading around to Stony Point for this 🌅mornings 🎣🦴bone session.

Cloudy☁️☁️sky kept the heat at bay until later morning when it switched on the 🔥heat as sun pushed through.

Good action through the trip with plenty of quality fish swung aboard💯

Alana & Heather who do an amazing thankless job at🚑Ambulance Vic as medical operatives, were joined by Leigh this morn🌅for a go at the 🎣🦴bone
With a tide set slower🐌than Better Boating Victoria’s decision making process on upgrades at Stony Point Boat Ramp, it was a trip of plenty of moves🕺🏻 to find the groove💯🎣🦴
Crew got amongst a good bite later in the morn with most over the 37-38cm📏range.
Rolled in net on way🛥️in n filleted🔪💥

💥💥🎣🐟TUNA Charters🎣🐟💥💥

Had a trip out in the Strait this morning🌅with a group of regular clients keen for some bluefin’🎣🐟 action.

Great conditions early up saw some blood on deck not too long after setting a bunch of lures.
Pretty stoked crew with some from ☀️Swan Hill-(the Everitt crew from yday💯😂)

As forecasted-the westerly💨💨breeze swept in later morning creating average conditions quickly
The call was made to return with more than enough fresh tuna to go around for the crew🍣

I’ve had a fair amount of 📲interest in recent weeks asking about 🎣🐟tuna charters.

Bookings are 📙available now & will run until sometime in April at this stage.

Tuna charters operating in Bass Strait are aimed at targeting southern bluefin tuna in local coastal waters.
These trips cater for both new clients and returning clients alike.

Tuna are exciting to target, a lot of fun to catch & make for great table fare-can be arranged in many ways both raw and cooked .

Like many of our popular fish species, they can require patience at times & can & do test all skippers some days.
However that is soon forgotten when the cry of a reel sings out -as do the clients calling ‘yep yep we’re on’

It gets pretty🕺🏻busy at times 💯😂😂🎣🐟🎣🐟🎣🐟

Hectic🏃🏻‍♂️🎣🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️is one word that comes to mind when a multiple strike occurs.
There’ll be plenty of occasions too where we will be casting lures🎣🔥🐟
Topwater lure fishing is pretty hard to top so to speak 😂

It is totally different to trolling tuna & can become very 💉addictive💯
It really can & is a lot of fun at times 💯
So having said this, you’ll need to keep an open mind & positive attitude for the best outcome.

One area of note is seasickness🤮
It’s just a part of taking people offshore that on occasions there’s going to be people feeling crook.
I understand it, it’s a different environment & can be hard to be enjoyed when feeling crook.
Given that we are around an hour or more travel on some trips from ramp-it’s pretty hard on the rest of clients to return if one person feels a bit off or crook…

✅A little prevention can go a long way
I strongly suggest anyone in doubt or who’ve not been out on Bass Strait before, to purchase some preventatives from chemist

It’s just a safer way to go rather than having motion sickness spoil your trip.

Plenty to see on an offshore tuna charter, well worth getting out of 🛌bed ultra early to experience 💯

This is an annual🎣🦴🦴trip going on 4 years now, with some great results each charter🎣🦴💯😃

Today was action a plenty in 🌊waves-then 🦥slowed-then on🎣🔥again… during the subdued tidal flow with the day of the full🌕on us today

Dad n sons trip today with Tim, Matt, sons Koby & Charlie traveling from country Vic to experience a mixed deep meat extraction session💯💪🏻🎣

Good sized sand and 🐯tiger flathead assured the boys had lots of winding practice😂💪🏻🎣with some really nice size ranges coming aboard after a few drifts to locate🌏📌
Few 🐬🐬dolphins passing by during the drift was great value for Koby & Charlie.

Returning to the Port, the guys were pretty keen to feel the light tips bouncing amongst the bone🎣🦴before heading 🏡home, so a bit of searching found a great bit of action, topping up a fantastic 🍽️feed of 50’🦴that’ll last the crew a while💯

Bäss Strait was today’s flavor -with some deep meat extraction on the drift

Mixture of sizes with sone really good standout sand flathead & a few good tigers🐯also coming aboard.

A request at Stony Point ramp was asked-can I deliver diesel to some guys down at Cat Bay-arriving a little after, the guys transferred fuel without issue-however couldn’t get things started -for obvious reasons-diesels don’t like being run dry-got them towed to Stony Pt safely & soon after the Volvo Penta fired up-allowing the guys to continue on to The Chandlery at Yaringa Marina where the boat is moored.
