This is very good news indeed! As of 01 August 2024 Malaysian Airlines will begin flying from Kuala Lumpur to Male Velana International Airport, Maldives. Departing on a daily basis from Kuala Lumpur at 10.10am and arriving in Male at 11.10am. The return flight departs Male at 12.30pm and arrives into Kuala Lumpur at 8.05pm, and these schedules connect on a daily basis with flights from / to Australia. The Taiwan Lantern Festival, an event celebrated by Chinese descents to mark the end of the Lunar New Year Festival or the 15th day from the Lunar New Year will begin on 10 February this year. Previously, the lights were used to welcome family members safely from war, so they did not get lost on the way. Over time, it became an annual tradition now celebrated nationwide.

What an amazing experience.....we have just returned from a few nights escape at the Heritance Aarah in the Maldives! This property delivers on all its promises and in a word is spectacular! The staff are nothing short of amazing and so knowledgable when it comes to food & wine. We had occasion to visit the doctor on the island twice and the service we received is 1st class, the restaurants and bars are superb, and this location is just perfect for couples wanting an escape, families, or those looking for a second honeymoon. Effective immediately - it is no longer necessary to show proof of a Covid vaccine in order to enter Indonesia. In what is another great sign of recovery and growing interest in Indochina, Vietnam Airlines have announced effective 15 June 23 twice weekly direct flights between Melbourne to Hanoi. The re-opening of Japan has been nothing short of amazing and the interest to travel has never been stronger. In another positive sign effective 29 April 23, all Covid-19 entry requirements for Japan have been lifted. As we continue our product upgrade, we are very pleased to announce effective immediately if you are staying 1 night or more in beautiful HaLong Bay on a junk boat, the 15-minute scenic seaplane flight will be included in the itinerary. This is encouraging news indeed! From April 2023, low-cost Vietnamese carrier Vietjet, will commence thrice weekly flights between Melbourne and Ho Chi Minh City, with the intention of flying daily between the two cities come December 2024. Flying the A330 aircraft, this will make travel to Indochina more affordable for more Aussies and allow greater opportunities to explore this beautiful part of the world.

It is such wonderful news that after several years, on 11 Oct 2022, Japan has re-opened its borders to international tourists. Entering Japan is now very easy, if you are triple vaccinated you may enter on a visa-free basis, or if not, just provide evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure to Japan. There are no more on arrival testing or quarantine restrictions in Japan!
