Not a bad few hours on the water at Lakes Entrance, bagged out on Gummy’s again. We also pitched in with a couple for our selfs. Nice mixed bag even a king George Whiting on a 60 hook.

The Metung boardwalk is a delightful way to stroll – safely – along the edge of Bancroft Bay, or to set up your deck chair for a spot of fishing.

The boardwalk extends from the village centre to Chinaman’s Creek. The walk takes 20-30 minutes, but you’ll probably take longer as you stop to enjoy the view of Bancroft Bay.

Check out all the boats in the Metung marina, and wonder at ‘Legend Rock’ – a large meteorite in the water with an aboriginal legend.

No matter which direction you walk in, there’s good coffee on offer at each end.
