Thanks to the tax man 🦈 we will never know just how big this massive Red Emperor was but the head alone (what we had left in the pic) weighed 9.5kg!!!

Lakefield National Park (Cape York) has got to be one of the most rugged, remote, but beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure of fishing.

There were plenty of crocs, pigs, dingo's, countless varieties of birds but most importantly, plenty of barra were caught trekking the waterholes for many kilometres with my mate Jake (Up North Fishing Adventures).

Such an awesome trip. I hope you enjoy watching the video just as much as I loved making it!

Weipa estuaries are something magical! Got a stack of Barra, jacks, fingers….all on lures and in the middle of winter. Such awesome diversity.

Don’t even have to go very far from the main boat ramp to get into the action.
