'A gorgeous old house in beautiful old Millthorpe with a beautiful garden. The house is restored stylishly and sensitively and is furnished beautifully. Heating was excellent! The garden is gorgeous ( loved the Daphne in full bloom). Holly is a lovely host and helpful with suggestions, though due to COVID we were unable to have dinner or breakfast in the places she suggested.' -Ilona

'This was gorgeous accommodation close to all the facilities. So much effort has been put into making this place extra special - decor, candles, wine, chocolates, and charcuterie/cheese board just to name some. This cottage was also super clean so we felt very comfortable staying here during these COVID times. We would highly recommend but wish we had stayed for two nights instead of one. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend for a romantic getaway. Thanks Holly.' - Narelle

WHY THEY STAY - My husband and I stayed at Hockey’s a few years ago and were so impressed with the property; so cosy, comforting and welcoming and we were equally impressed this time. Having featured in the tourism ad for Millthorpe SO long ago, Kyle and Holly are now part of the community having purchased Hockey's Accommodation from the Spicers. Michelle is still involved which is fantastic, and Hockey's continues to welcome guests looking for a romantic getaway.

Aloe Vera is one of our favourite medicinal plants and it greets our guests at the front door of Hockey’s. The succulent has a long history of being used for medicinal purposes, dating back to ancient Egypt. From relieving sunburn and heartburn to potentially slowing the spread of breast cancer, researchers are just beginning to unlock the benefits of this universal plant and its many byproducts.

We LOVE local and have added locally made gingerbread men to our selection of treats at Hockey’s. Richard Hosl uses an authentic family recipe and local ingredients to make these delicious little guys. Enjoy yours when your stay, and then buy more Hosl goodies at Dolce Sweets and Treats in

"This cottage was just gorgeous! Holly has made the premises very welcoming by adding a local bottle of wine, a few sweet treats, even a fresh fruit bowl. Her small touches keep going, robes, candles and a cheese board! There is a fire pit at the back which my hubby loved and the kitchen comes with all the useful supplies and utilities. The spa was heaven and the bed very comfy. Millthorpe is a divine small town, the cafes and pub offer great food and everyone is very friendly. I can’t recommend this property enough, forget Orange, if you want a true get away with lovely thoughtful touches, Hockey’s is the place!" - Megan
