We ask the local communities to please be tolerant of this activity as we all work together to help those affected.

We are wishing everyone a safe and wonderful Christmas and New Years!

Due to the fire season starting in the Southeastern states, we will have pilots away and be shut for flights from Friday 13th December.
Reopening will be towards the end of January.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our raffle proceeds will go towards Mission Beach State School P&C Association to contribute towards fridge replacements, student support and much more to help our local community school.

We really appreciate your help supporting our fundraising and we are proud that this year our P&C has been able to provide our school with a new gazebos and fridges as well as supported funding to many school and sporting events and students throughout the year.

Mission Helicopters continues to be busy assisting Queensland Fire Department. We have helicopters on standby at Atherton and Charters Towers. These Helicopters have been supporting ground crews at various locations throughout the state.

We are ready to go wherever they need us, and hope everyone is fire ready and staying safe! 💪🔥🚁

Amazing achievement can’t wait to see what comes next! 🚁

Congratulations to Ray Cronin, Kestrel’s founder and Managing Director, on his recognition in the 2024 Australia Day Honours List.

Ray has been recognised with the Order of Australia (OAM) for his significant contribution to the aviation industry over his near 50-years of involvement in the sector.

Having founded Kestrel in 1985 as a training school, he has overseen its transition into an internationally recognised leader in the aerial firefighting and emergency management sector with an impressive fleet of Australian owned specialist helicopters.

Throughout his career, Ray has also been a constant contributor to improving the safety of helicopter operations in the country through inputs to government and regulatory committees (including CASA’s Aviation Safety Advisory Panel), and currently represents the interests of the Australian helicopter industry domestically and internationally as the President of the Australian Helicopter Industry Association.
