This guy has way more experience in local government than your current CEO and has experience and extremely high knowledge of the local government act to finally help the rest of the Councillors keep Council Executives under control - which every Councillor has ( by power of resolution ).
Division 1 vote for whomever you choose but think of the Raleigh and Barnes terms - both of whom had no real idea and as such the Executives dictated control over the Councillors, plenty of talk but no real action for the benefit of your Divison.
My opinion based on what I’ve read about Chris Littlemore Candidate for Division 1 Cassowary Coast Regional Council background - this guy is going to go in swinging and fight with all of his knowledge and experience to not only fight ever increasing rates and fight to make Division 1 a better place he also has the legal and legislative knowledge to work with the other Councillors to straighten out this Council and the Executives.
Rates, roads, rubbish, sewerage, water - core services.
Dredging the channel? It’s been all bulls**t since at least 2016 ( remember Kremastos and Sen Susan McDonald holding up a big $1.2million cheque for dredging the channel ), read all of the media releases and hype and talk of the Nolan/Graffen Council since then and the so called ‘normalisation’ of Hinchinbrook ( ha what an empty buzzword don’t fall for it if someone uses it for an election platform clearly they are already aligned with your current in effective Council/Councillors ) but in reality nothing has happened.
One Councillor with sufficient knowledge of local government law and legislation and enough guts to stand up and speak out against the silent majority can straighten out the whole Council for the benefit of you and the whole community…
Big words from me maybe but check out his page, check out the detail he gives of his experience and PLEASE for once vote for experience in local government law and legislation by someone not scared to speak out and fight for you. Don’t vote vanilla … vote for someone putting themselves on the line for their local community.

Port Hinchinbrook has dragged on through three full terms of Council. Progress zero.
What makes me any different from past Councillors?
Not one Councillor since Mayor Bill Shannon has had any relevant academic qualifications. No one has the experience dealing with a CEO and senior managers, grant writing, local government specific knowledge of the law and experience dealing with executives and Ministers at the highest levels.
Do you need any of this to run for Council? No, but exactly where has electing candidates without the capacity to deal with Port Hinchinbrook gotten you?
I have more knowledge of legislation, experience dealing with sensitive negotiations with politicians, getting Indigenous clearances, environment clearances specific to acid sulfate soil relocation and a proven track record of getting things done. Probably more than all the current Council members and CEO combined.
Someone rightly pointed out, “everyone is going to fix it until they get voted in”. Are you willing to risk that a Council without my expertise or relevant track record will fix it? That’s one hell of a gamble.
