We've been in Britain scouting out sites and experiences to include in our clients' itineraries. One of our favourites was Hadrian's Wall, with it's many sections of wall and Roman ruins to explore. Allow yourselves a couple of days to really appreciate this part of Britain's history. Here's one suggested itinerary.

We just watched a show in the main theatre by a young Kiwi bloke called Will Martin. Truly amazing, such stage presence and keyboard skills.
Last night we experienced the amazement of Le Petit Chef, a must-do if you’re on a Celebrity cruise. The premise of the experience is animated scenes projected onto your table from above, with the cartoon characters preparing each dinner course on your plate. The waitstaff then bring out your actual meal. The animated story features a couple falling in love, setting up home, having kids and then moving into retirement – set to the four seasons of the year and the four courses of the meal. I’ve snapped together some of the pics and videos that we took, which really don’t do justice to this unique dining experience.
We're loving these cool retro "one-arm bandits" in the ship's casino. Brings back great memories of Montclaire, Carribbea Bay and Vic Falls (sadly with the same financial result 🥲).
Our last cruise was on Virgin Voyager, where the bathrooms were "compact" to say the least. So we were delighted to see how big and spacious the bathroom was. Celebrity is a more upmarket cruise line, and its reflected in the quality furnishings and finishes in the cabins.
This has got to be the most spacious cabin that we've had on a cruise ship. It's a standard balcony cabin, with a huge bed, heaps of cupboard space and a large bathroom. The Infinity Balcony adds a lot more space, but is a rather contentious concept. I'll do a separate post on that, as Denise and I still have differing opinions on whether this is a hit or a miss for Celebrity. Overall though, this is a great first impression!
