We just ran one of our newer incursions with University Park Primary School.
We visited grade 5/6 children for an Electricity, Circuits and Energy Transformation program.

Incursions are now up and running for all Primary School Children.

With Covid behind us, schools are now booking for terms 2 and 3. Please contact us for details regarding our Teamwork, Problem Solving and Wellbeing Programs as well as our Physical Science programs that we have been running for a number of years.

On Thursday 20th May we visited Tooradin Primary School for a “Forces” Incursion.
The 2 hour session included explaining how Gravity, Friction and Magnetism work ( in easy to understand kid language 😁)
And then they had a go on each of our specially built activities.
It was an awesome day spent with a lovely group of kids and teachers.

We had a great day with the grade 2 kids at Viewbank Primary School in Greensborough today. Teamwork was the focus and the kids had a fantastic time pulling apart our Creature and Go Kart, trying to hit the bell on our high striker, making some magnet art, concentrating on their hand / eye co ordination on the Buzz Machine and having a go on our very popular Kid Lifter.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry we haven’t posted in a while ...
Unfortunately the pandemic has had a major effect on our excursion venue and we have sadly closed down our centre in Mulgrave.
We’d like to thank all the schools and families that have supported us over the last 16 years.

Even though our centre has shut down , we are still running school Incursions for all primary aged students.
Our incursions mainly focus on the Physical Sciences but as per all our equipment at Taskworks we also focus on teamwork, communication, problem-solving and creativity.
Sorry to all the families and children that won’t be able to come and enjoy our centre any more, but to those teachers that are looking for a great incursion please contact us any time.

Today we took our incursion to visit the Grade 3/4’s at Saint Paul’s Primary School In Bentleigh.

They learned about Forces and had a go on our 6 different activity stations including our new buzz machine.
The children were very good at pulling apart our Robot and Go Kart, they managed to hit the high striker many times, made some amazing creations/ Ramps using the gravity principle on our Magnet art boards , saw how magnetism works on our metal bead table and figured out how our friction board works.

Today, one of our staff members, Rowan, ran through our Cable Maze , setting a new fastest time of 12:08 seconds set and ran by the staff over the years. This is a new personal best time . 🚦🏃‍♂️😅⏱👌. School Incursions are a big part of Taskworks. We travel all around Victoria to many different schools. Last Friday we visited Toongabbie Primary School in Gippsland where there are only approximately 60 kids in the whole school. They didn't have a hall big enough for us , so we went outdoors. ☀️

Today we had students from Saint Agatha’s in Cranbourne visit us for an excursion. The Grade 4’s were working on their Teamwork skills amounts other things , and had an absolute ball all day.
Great bunch of kids and fantastic, dedicated teachers that made the day very enjoyable.

Last night we had 73 very excited Grade 4’s from Essex Heights Primary School come to us for an overnight camp.
We started the camp at 3pm with some games from days gone by... Quoits, Sticks,Jenga and Klopps. Dinner was Rose’s famous Spaghetti, served at 6pm,followed by an ice cream. 🍝🍦😋
Beds were set up and everyone got comfy for a Movie night just before retiring for the night.
Bright and early this morning, the kids got up, packed everything up and had breakfast ( cereal, toast, Hash Browns and a hot chocolate) before getting stuck into the days activities. We rotated around 3 of the activities, had a fruit / snack break, 🍏 then did the remaining 3 activities before stopping for lunch which was yummy chicken schnitzel rolls with salad .🥪
The day finished for the kids at 2pm. Such a jam packed camp full of heaps of fun.

We had a great day yesterday visiting Ilim College in Dallas. The grade 2 Children we’re having lots of fun and were engaged in all the activities whilst learning about “Physical Science/ Forces” ( Gravity/Magnetism/Friction )
A big Thankyou goes out to the fantastic and enthusiastic Parent helpers, who not only assist us on the day , but they also had just as much fun as the kids . Thanks so much for having us. We hope to see you again soon.
