Pickinnup Wood bush retreat

Get back to nature exploring 40 acres of jarrah forest and relax at night by the log fire. Access off Myles Ave, via Mornington Rd. Our family of 5 lived here for 6 years, with 3 children aged between 4 and 11 when we moved in. It was a busy time of life with the kids all in different schools, 2 bus timetables, and both parents working full-time, one running a small business. While we had many log

istical challenges, we wouldn't have changed a thing. Our fondest memories include drinking wine around many bonfires, picking blackberries over summer, swimming in the dam, learning to ride a motorbike, raising baby chickens, growing our own vegetables, riding along the Munda Biddi, the emus, wallabies, echidnas and diverse birdlife, learning to live within our solar energy capacity, 'shed' birthday parties, camping birthday parties, lots of firewood cutting and 'picking up wood'. ☺
