Day five of our journey through Norway, we spend a full day in Bergen. First off we take the Floibanen funicular up the Fløyen mountain. Almost 1000 metres. Such breathtaking, panoramic views over the entire city. How random “high on a hill was a lonely goat herd”. They also seemed to enjoy the views. Spent some time taking in all the historical wooden houses, shops and hotels on the old wharf in Bryggen. Finished up with a fabulous meal and the well know Bergen Fish Market.

Day 3 of our journey through Norway, we spend the day in Flam. We take a journey up to Stegastein viewpoint. A viewpoint located near the top of Aurlandsfjellet (Aurland mountain) between Flåm and Aurland. The views are spectacular with fjords and high mountains covered in snow. An afternoon at leisure in Flam, a very peaceful and gorgeous town. I was tempted to do the private sauna, but Mark would not be a part of jumping into the freezing water. Haha. A few beers in the Egir Brewery, followed by a Viking Platter for dinner. What an awesome day.

Day two of our journey through Norway. Oslo to Flam.

What a beautiful part of the world.

A spectacular train journey from Oslo to Myrdal, then Myrdal to Flam on one of the worlds greatest train journeys.

The journey from Oslo to Myrdal was itself one of the most amazing train journeys I have been on. Of course then the Flam railway did not dissapoint. We then checked in to our hotel in Flam.

Robyn recently embarked on an extraordinary journey aboard the Scenic Eclipse, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Central America, Antarctica, and South Georgia. The moment that stole Robyn's heart was the awe-inspiring arrival into South Georgia. Goosebumps still tingle as she recalls the magical encounter when Zodiacs pulled into Gold Harbour.

King Penguins and adorable baby Fur seals eagerly greeted the visitors. With only around 10,000 visitors per year, it's safe to say they were more than happy to see these curious travellers! Although the rule was to keep a metres distance from the wildlife, it seemed like no one informed the seals or penguins.
