Well what a week😅, in between doing the fire workshop I managed to run a half day tour and a 3 day tour. These lovely ladies travelled from Sydney to come and immerse themselves in country and culture and that we did. We went off the beaten track a bit climbing Whalmaroon/ mt Maroon. Didn't make it all the way but the views were beautiful. Was a first for me climbing Whalmaroon and it felt very connecting building relationships on country with country and with people. Ran a half day tour this morning with a special bunch of young men, troubled youth, good hearts and fire in they're belly. Got to connect a couple of young little brothers to country that have never touched country before, that to me is why I do what I do. My eagle came sat in a tree just to let the boys know we real. Yesterday Mt Barney Lodge and Yarriba Dreaming had the pleasure of running two tours back to back with Intrepid Travel and Inspired Adventures, one full day followed by a half day. It was a deadly experience, a beautiful day to be sharing culture and making an impact in a positive way. That's another 22 people I get to make a difference with. Happy NAIDOC everyone. Yoway everyone, over the weekend Yarriba/ Mt Barney Lodge ran a three day tour with a very special group of people, it's the first time having a family on my tour altogether, Mum, Dad and the children. Was such a deadly experience to share in a family setting so to speak, very enthusiastic and interested bunch with keen eyes and ears. Last night My Sister and I had the privilege of attending Uncle David Hudson show campfire to stage light, invited by the man himself, was such a deadly show. Uncle David is truly an inspiration for our young people, he shows us anything is possible if you put your mind to it the achievements that uncle David has reached for our people Australia wide is something to look up too. Thanks Uncle David for being deadly and thank you for being a part of the people who paved the way for us young ones. Thanks to all who paved the way for us young ones. Well it's been awhile sense I have posted on the Yarriba page. 2023 was such an eventful year and I can't be thankful enough for the journey Nd experiences through culture, community, connections, country, fire, people, nature, spirit, ancestors, family, friends new and old. Hoping 2024 brings bigger and better things for us all. We are nearly out of the hot season and I'm looking forward to Yarriba Dhagun again....
