🐰 RABBIT CONTROL PROGRAM 🐰
Naracoorte Lucindale Council will be performing a Rabbit Control Program commencing Monday 20th of January within the Naracoorte North Parklands to reduce their impact within the parkland and surrounding area.
The closely-monitored rabbit control program is being carried out using Pindone bait. The bait was selected based on expert advice and will be placed in areas where rabbits are known to be feeding. It is extremely difficult for a dog to eat enough poisoned rabbits to take a toxic dose of Pindone. Signage will be erected in the North Parklands while the program is underway. Users of the North Parklands are reminded that dogs must be on leads in the parklands.
For any enquiries, phone Council on (08) 8760 1100 or email [email protected]

It was a very memorable day at the Naracoorte Visitor Information Centre yesterday!
After an outstanding 27 years of service, it was the last day on the job for Tourism Coordinator Vicki Modistach before retirement.
And we also welcomed Jennifer Maclean to the role of our new Tourism Coordinator.
Jen has worked at the VIC in a part-time role for more than a decade, largely as one of the VIC's weekend staff members, so she's already a familiar face to many.
We wish Vicki every happiness with her retirement, and Jen all the very best in her new role!

💰COMMUNITY CHEST GRANTS NOW OPEN 💰
In 2023/24 The Nurtured Village Hampers Upper SE Limestone Coast branch were awarded a Community Chest grant to create a promotional video to raise awareness of the Nurtured Village Hampers and further support the local community.
When asked how this project will benefit the community, they responded with:
'Research shows that 1 in 5 mums will be diagnosed with postnatal depression. Through capturing the process of collecting and delivering a hamper to a local mum in the Naracoorte area, we can then utilise this video to encourage the community, gain more community members and support local families though hampers and donations.'
Round 1 of the Community Chest is now open. The program aims to encourage, develop and support community and sporting groups to increase usage of local facilities, foster development of community services, activities and events, providing opportunities for community participation and benefitting residents of Naracoorte Lucindale Council.
