Winners of Terra Nova 24. So proud of you Piers Craig and Trent Maxwell!!
This is a 24 hour endurance race covering 130 kms of mountain biking, paddling, trail running and orienteering through thick bush ( bundu bashing) to hidden markers. Your positive attitude to enjoy the challenge and push yourselves physically and mentally to the end was truly inspiring! Won in 16 hours and 46mins….well done JUNGLE EDGE❤️

No…. I’m not in Africa! This is Gir National Park in Gujarat India. The only place you will find the Asiatic lion. This beautiful male came so close to our gypsy that I could smell him, but he was clearly not interested in us!

Stunning day out on the Aitutaki atoll! We jumped the back of a truck much to everyone’s delight and then a speedboat with Mac our captain. Glorious time snorkelling to see giant clams and in deeper waters to swim with the giant trevally. What an amazing experience🏝️🏝️

Our island home for a few days! Enjoying the friendly people, the scatty dogs that swim across to the islands to chase fish for fun or catch a lift on your paddle boat! Love being woken by the sound of a cockerel and the waves lapping outside. Niels and Reid have learned to snorkel so well and we’ve all had fun swimming in the azure waters. A few tasty cocktails and fresh coconut water… it is paradise!

Gujarat was full of wonderful surprises. Embroidery was one of them! 18 types of hand embroidery identify the different villages and their traditional style of dress and fabric decoration.

GUJARAT…. It has been on my adventure list for many years and now that it is a lovely memory I must give thanks.
“WILD CHILD” - our trusty 4 wheeled Mahindra, only one puncture in thousands of kms. Well done., we must have obeyed the “wild rules”!!
Our big thanks to the driver and his lovely wife, our friends, our Indian family, our trusted DMC of 16 years- we could never have enjoyed this special trip as much without you!

Well… that’s an amazing wrap for Tres India. Thank you to Sowmya and Swati, 2 lovely inspirational women who bring together the best of India’s lodges, palaces, forts and boutique hotels. It was great to meet up with old friends and find new ones. Live old memories and be inspired to make new ones. Thank you all- property owners and fellow travel friends-it certainly was an inspirational few days💕🐾🐾 Happy anniversary to Pedro…. Thank you for 51 years of never a dull moment!!

Bundi came as a real surprise. The Garn Palace is one of the largest in India and is a collection of different styles built by different rulers over 3 centuries. It also house a magnificent collection of ancient miniature paintings. Our Haveli, Dev Niwas was clean, cute and interesting with a great rooftop view of the palace. Ranij’s stepwell is probably the most famous of many beautifully adorned stepwell with pillared cenotaphs, arched entrances and stunning murals. The city has a blue tinge like Jodhpur and dates back to 1193 AD, with a very well documented history.
A huge colourful market dominates the town centre with interesting streets and archways tempting one to explore! It has a slightly laid back, leftover hippie vibe with the odd Bob Marley poster and ‘juice bar!’
I rather warmed to Bundi!

We started our Gujarat trip with some culture by visiting one of Indias best stepwells, Rani Ki Vav and the lovely Modera Sun Temple.
