Dates and prices are in for our 17th to 31st May 2025 Golf tour to Thailand with two stops on this one, Kanchanaburi (hellfire pass, Bridge over river Kwai) 4 nights and 2 rounds then down to Hua Hin for 10 nights and 4 more rounds inc Palm Hills, Springfield, Black Mountain and Pineapple Valley.

Ying and I traveled to Royal Ratchaburi Golf club yesterday for 18 holes. Again course was in excellent condition, very lush and green and greens were relatively quick, quicker than Hua Hin. Ive posted some photos here of the highlights of course,
scenery, wildlife etc. Its really worth the 90 minute journey up the bypass to get there. Next week we are off to Dragon Hills which is about an hour & 20 away.

The Aussie Thai Golf Tours "June 22 Golf tour" is all over for another year with a new winner crowned at Banyan Golf Club for the "Stuart Williams" medal. A late charge from Wayne Portelli saw him claim the title & medal in a countback from newcomer Luke Meadows both on 107 points for 4 rounds of stableford (You drop your worst score of the 4). Overnight leader heading into the last round by 9 shots, Steve White, absolutely choked at Banyan on the final day with a pathetic 20 points to lose by 1 point. (Wh**ey had 43 points the day before at Black Mountain). Both Wayne (35 points) and Luke (39 points) powered home to tie on 107, Steve 1 back, Brett Hume 4 back on 103 followed by Bob Baldry and Dick Sheehan on 101, Mick Hanley 100, Bubba Jones 97, Tony O'Reilly 96, John Gardiner 94 and Big Sav & Ying on 80. Congratulations to Wayne for this magnificent effort. The day winner was Luke who put the winnings of $60 over the bar.
Wayne carded 39, 33 & 35 best 3 rounds, Luke had 38, 30 & 39 to be runner up.
Triple 6ers champions for this year are Dick Sheehan and Brett Hume for a combined 71 points to win quite easily.
Bubba Jones, Mick Hanley, Bob Baldry and that man again Wayne Portelli claimed the Ambrose on the opening day at Banyan winning by 1.25 of a shot. A great time was had by all 12 golfers on course plus after Golf too. Father Ted's Bar for the AFL, Sanoi beach, the many restaurants, Baan Khun Por food market, Ying & Glenn's house for Friday night footy, beers and food, Nina's bar for a relaxing drink plus plenty of laughs and story telling. The weather was absolutely perfect as well. I've included many photos of the tour and personally would like to say thanks to all who came on the tour it was a ripper of a trip!

A fair bit of action out at Lakeview golf club today for the annual Aussie Thai Golf Tours " Triple 6's" event. Dick Sheehan and Brett Hume were the winners and took home the coveted glass beer mugs with a massive 67 points with 29 points coming in the final 6 holes of multiplication. Tony O'Reilly and Luke Meadows on 52 tied for 2nd with Glenn Flowers and Wayne Portelli. Big Sav and Mick Hanley next of 51 you can forget about the rest. This Sunday it gets serious, Black Mountain beckons.
