Sail on a luxury yacht around Magnetic Island

Pilgrim Sailing is one of Magnetic Island's premium experience providers offering Sailing Cruises and Private Charters on a luxury 58-foot yacht, Pilgrim. Escape the real world for a while and experience something you will never forget. Enjoy the magic of sailing, while you soak in the views of the stunning Magnetic Island coastline and sip Australian wines and local Townsville beers.

Pilgrim Sailing was established in Sydney Harbour in 2010 by Clare & Paul, who met on a racing yacht several years earlier. Their passion for sailing led them to taking what seemed at the time, a rather radical step and buying the beautiful yacht Pilgrim, who was then named Pilgrim of Freemantle. “Pilgrim just has a way about her, she gets under your skin” says Paul. “There was no way I could leave her for someone else”. Something that we are all pleased about!

From there, the business evolved but has always maintained the ethos that magic of sailing should be shared with as many people as possible. Over the years Pilgrim Sailing has offered a variety of ways that people can sail on board - including learning to sail, Twilight Racing and competing in the Race Weeks up and down the east coast. However, the most popular options have always been the Sunset Cruises and Private Charters for the larger groups of families and friends and also for corporate events.

Clare’s passion for quality local produce is also an integral part of the experience with new products continuing to be offered on board. To give you an idea here are a few of our suppliers:
