Only 120 metres to Duchies' Beach and a short stroll along pathway to Nelson Bay shops, restaurants and Marina. Everything you need to make your holiday as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

How cute is this ring-tailed lemur, also known as the ‘dancing lemur’?

Did you know that these creatures are found living in the wild only on the island of Madagascar. They are considered endangered.

We are very fortunate that Port Stephens are helping to conserve these species so they do not become extinct.

There are many beautiful and interesting animals that can be seen and fed at the wildlife park so please come and visit.

There is also a fabulous water park for the kids to enjoy.

It’s also only a 10 minute drive from our holiday beach house. Come stay, relax and play.

Contemplating the wonder of nature on a grey day 😮

These beautiful black swans return home each year to Bagnalls beach where they stay close to the shoreline, bobbing on top of the water, and stretch their long necks to nibble on the underwater sea grass meadow.

Bagnalls beach is located at the west end of the Gloucester Street, a few minutes walk from Dutchies Sand & Sea holiday house.

Alan and I want to thank each and every one of our guests for choosing to stay at Dutchies Sand & Sea this year, particularly our returning guests. We really try to make our beach house ‘a home away from home’, with little extra touches, so it makes us very happy to know that other people are enjoying our holiday home as much as we do.

We took on board the feedback from our previous guests last Summer and, even though we already had air conditioning in the living room area and fans in all 3 bedrooms, we installed ducted air conditioning in all bedrooms which should already be well received by our December guests with this current heat 😍

A big thank you for all the support from our social media followers and collaborators. It’s been a pleasure being able to communicate with you all and also follow your journeys. I hope this continues into 2025.

As Xmas Eve draws closer may the true spirit of Xmas bring you hope, joy, peace, and togetherness. Merry Christmas to you all and please stay safe🎄 🎄 🎄

Another one of our favourite places for great food, drinks, music and casual atmosphere is the bay.

We also love that it’s an easy 10- minute walk along the Bridle pathway from . Now that it’s daylight savings time we come eat dinner, have a few drinks and walk home under the shade of the trees and look at the beautiful coast line 🤩

We are very spoilt for choice . So much to see and do … or not do. Your choice!

We love supporting new local business’. Tonight we tried some fabulous dumplings and duck pancakes who have only been opened for four weeks. Loved the casual ambiance, food and service.

Spoke to owner who has a fantastic vision for the overall makeover from what used to be the wanderlust bar. Can’t wait for this vision to come to light. Was great to see the bar very busy. There’s a great cocktail menu as well!
