Whether you’re a local or a visitor, we’re a must stop shop if you’re looking for the best hidden gems in Tasmania. We (Ngaire and Shemi) moved to New Norfolk after traveling extensively throughout Tasmania, mainland Australia and other parts of the world. It was hard not to fall in love with the Derwent Valley in all of its beauty and unique offerings. We opened White Wallaby because we are passionate about community and collaboration, with the goal of bringing people together to showcase the wonder that is the Derwent Valley. Outside our business, we support our local community in a number of voluntary roles.

"Good Night Derwent Valley" is the newest piece in our gallery. Created by local Jess Offbeat Tassie Artist to depict the beautiful River Derwent, the mountains, the wildflowers and beautiful dark starry nights and auroras the valley is known for. In addition to the original painting, A3 & A4 prints are available exclusively here in our gallery.

Emma-Lee Bradbury Art is one of the three local artist winners of The ArtHouse New Norfolk & Abel Pakk competition, and she also popped in! Her 'Illusive Tasmanians' painting was chosen by the New Norfolk community in the peoples choice vote to feature on Biopak biodegradable coffee cups all over Tasmania. A massive shout out to everyone who voted (almost 4,000 of you) and congratulations to the three amazing artists who won Offbeat Tassie Artist Hayley Wilson Art and of course Emma-Lee. Go and get yourself a coffee at the Arthouse with this amazing art, and you can buy prints of their beautiful artwork, along with fridge magnets, tea towels, greeting cards, etc at our shop (White Wallaby Gallery & Derwent Valley Visitor Information Centre ) at 33 Burnett St, New Norfolk
