Help Wanted: Mountain Bike Shuttle Driver

Looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to assist with mountain bike shuttles at Dungog Common over the school holidays.

What I'm looking for:

Local to the area

Reliable and punctual

Clean and tidy

Comfortable driving with a trailer (minimal reversing required)

Minimum Green P-plates

Willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and passenger transport authority on your license (I will assist with this upgrade)

Preferably a mountain biker (not essential)

Trustworthy and capable of working unsupervised

About the role:

Driving an automatic minibus up and down a closed road

Helping clients load and unload bikes

Performing basic vehicle walk-around safety checks

Taking payments

Engaging in social chats with clients to create a welcoming atmosphere

Work details:

Shifts are generally 3–6 hours starting from 7:30 AM

Onsite training provided for the right person

🤘☀️ ☀️ ☀️🤘

We finally got a Satdy social ride in , without getting rained on. It’s a glorious blue sky day in Dungog, and all the tracks and trails at Ride Dungog are in excellent condition, with only a couple of persistent bog holes on the xc loop, well and truly over ridden by the fun on Snakes, Al’s and Easy Way Out.
Granted Ride Mountainbike shuttles are doing what they do best, dropping the enthusiasts at the top, ready for an assault on the flows or the dual slalom course. Jump on line and book a seat.
And don’t forget, the world’s most jinxed race, GoFlow 2.0 is on tomorrow from 9:00am, but we will only run one flow at a time, so you can enter our fun event, or just have a ride on the other flows, and watch on in awe.
Either way, you’d be mad to not plan a trip to Dungog this weekend.

Flow Racers - we've rescheduled the Flow Enduro race that's been rain effected numerous times before to Sunday August 04.

Fingers crossed the weather will not crucify us again and we can have a race before we launch into the UCI Pump Track World Championships on August 24th and then Dungog Pedalfest 2024 in September.

The weather man is stitching us up with another wet one.
Though the riding will go on! We've got a bus rolling out to Muswellbrook this Sunday (2nd June) where conditions are vastly improved by moisture levels 🍫🍰 that would see other networks shutdown 💪

National Champs! 🏅

Granted Ride is providing shuttles for the Aus Cycling National Champs event from 12-16th March 2024 at Awaba.

Are you keen to be involved?
This is more than just a volunteer role, Granted Ride is offering payment or shuttle cards.
REQUIREMENTS: Full license, comfortable towing a trailer, able to load/unload mountain bikes from the trailer. Available for full days throughout the event week.
Training will be provided.
This can lead to.ongoing work.for anyone interested.

Sunday sessions cancelled at Awaba until further notice.

This cancellation is the result of a reduced ability to operate due to build day trail closures and club events on Sundays in combination with turning a consistent loss since operating shuttles at Awaba.

We will continue operating at Awaba as per usual on Saturday's, implementing timed practice and other perks to our supporters soon.

Unfortunately Shuttles at Awaba are heading towards a "use it or loose it" situation with repeated low numbers on the shuttles despite our commitment to continually show up over the last 6 months.

This service was supplied to Awaba to fill a hole that I thought was lacking in a great local park.
The high volume of riders in the MTB park are not demonstrated in shuttle numbers.
With national champs on the horizon we thought things would be vastly different and the club endorsed shuttles would be utilised as the first point of call. Especially with our trail karma payments from Granted Ride proceeds, forwarded directly to the club to support trail maintenance and improvements.

A big thank you to those that have utilised and continually support Granted Ride shuttles 🙏

AWABA DIG DAY SUNDAY!
Granted Ride will be out there operating, and offering a couple free shuttles to those that help put some work back into the trails!
Can't make it to a dig day due to time restraints, surf conditions, church, allergies... You can still do your part for the trails by using Granted Ride shuttles, for every rider that goes through the bus up to 25% goes back to the club/trails 🙏

To celebrate this awesome addition to Dungog Common we will be offering a free shuttle for everyone to the top of the flow trails from midday! Discounted shuttle sessions also on offer for those that want to kick on some repeat laps.
