Eco Tourism - For us that means having a net positive impact on the places we visit. We live it as much as we can and try to inspire it in others.

We stayed at a gorgeous free camping area in Far North Queensland for a week and every day we w**ded the area and cleared the beach of rubbish. It is surprisingly enjoyable and satisfying.

So what are some ways to travel in this way?

1. Take a bag on your beach walks and pick up rubbish you see along the way.

2. Get familiar with the w**ds of the area and pick them as you go.

3. Try to spend your money at local businesses that are giving back to the community and environment.

4. Discover the places in your immediate area to limit fossil fuel use.

5. If you are flying or driving a long way think about staying there for an extended period to have the best ratio of fossil fuels to experiences.

The last photo is that of Sensitive w**d (Mimosa Pudica) easily identified as it shrinks when you touch it and has very ouch thorns. Pull it out if you ever see it in Aus.

One of our Fiji spots! This is the largest expanse of flat shallow water we've ever seen. It doesn't get any better for learning how to kite.

AND on top of that if you are advanced there's a clean barrelling wave you can kite out to called Pipes.

You'd be mad to not come πŸ˜‰

Stormy Birubi session 25-30knts 😍

It's a great place to try out your first open ocean session! When most beaches are too sketchy in big Southerly storms Birubi feels quite safe as there is a large expanse of shallow water and the wind quickly blows you back onto the beach.

See you there next time πŸ˜‰

unites and rallies the world to protect and restore our blue planet!

Being a business and community that spends a lot of time in our blue planet, we acknowledge its state and are doing our best to constantly improve our processes, get involved in some local initiatives to

This is why we love who offset their carbon emissions through afforestation or renewable energies. (Shoutout to Dave from for making this happen!) Plus, each booking plants trees as our contribution to re-wild the world because healthy soils and the land also affects our waterways. On top of actively planting trees ourselves, a portion of each lesson is donated directly to Hunter Landcare.

So thank you for doing your part by choosing us and getting more in touch with nature to protect our home!

We had a great morning ripping out Bitou Bush (Chrysanthemoides monilifera subsp rotundata) with the amazing Sue and the rest of the passionate crew at Friends of Tomaree National Park.

If you like the beach you've probably seen Bitou, in fact it's found on 45% of NSW coast line.

It's the big fleshy leaved bush with the little yellow flowers that grows everywhere and on top of everything, eventually killing all other plants under it through out competing them for sunlight and by releasing chemical growth inhibitors.

There isn't much more satisfying than ripping out a huge patch of it and watching all the natives start to come back which is what we've managed to see at Zenith Beach through the work of the Friends of Tomaree!

We love being able to do what we can to keep our land wild and beautiful!

The team at Friends of Tomaree are an incredibly dedicated group of volunteers with so much knowledge and they know how to use it.

Two years ago the site we replanted today was completely covered in lantana, bitou bush and invasive grasses.

Now it's covered in native trees, grasses and shrubs which will help stop erosion and provide plenty of habitat for birds so the residents of boat harbour have some beautiful songs to wake up to each morning.

Thanks for the opportunity to help you guys out!

WOW! Saturday’s mix of a little sunshine, fantastic people, loads of plants and a keen enthusiasm to improve the integrity of Tomaree National Park β€” and we’ve got the recipe for success.

33 people from a variety of walks of life and ages, came together at Kingsley Headland, Boat Harbour. We shared a dedicated morning, removing buffalo grass, cobblers pegs and many more w**ds, to plant over 400 local hardy natives in a bid to shade out invasive w**ds and create a better environment visually and for wildlife. Thank you everyone.

Thank you to the Friends of Tomaree National Park, community supporters, and the group from Escape Eco Adventures, who all gave generously of their time and energy to lay the groundwork in this second stage in rejuvenating Kingsley Headland.

You can read more about the Friends at www.ecops.au/FoTNP and if you're interested in our regular workbees at 3 locations www.ecops.au/FoTNP_workbees or special events like this, please email

Forever grateful to be able to session in the most beautiful natural locations. As kitesurfers, we believe that we have a responsibility to protect and preserve that world for future generations. ♻️ By making sustainable choices in our gear, practicing Leave No Trace principles, and supporting organizations that work to protect our planet, we can ensure that we continue to have access to these amazing experiences. πŸ™ So next time you're out on the water, take a moment to appreciate the beauty around you and commit to doing your part to protect it. 🌿

🌳 Happy Tree Planting Day! 🌳 So nice to see our community come together to make a positive impact on the environment and help keep it beautiful.

It was amazing to see everyone working together to plant trees and create a greener future.

Our goal at Escape is to make sure future generations can experience the same incredible nature that we do, be it on a kite, surf board, bike ride or bush walk.

Let's continue to take care of our planet and make it a better place, one tree at a time!

🌍🌱

πŸ„β€β™‚οΈπŸŒ¬οΈ Learning to do board offs while kitesurfing is definitely a challenging experience. It takes time, practice, and patience to land it, but the satisfaction of landing it makes it all worth it. πŸ€™ The game changer for me was to practice it off the water. Hook your harness up to a gymnastic ring or rope and then swing around looking like an idiot while trying to take a kiteboard on and off your feet. Great way to practice the move and have a core workout at the same time 😜

🌊 As the Summer windy season comes to an end, we can't help but feel grateful for the incredible experiences we've had teaching others and kitesurfing with the growing community πŸͺ. It has been a joy to see the progress and stoke of those we've taught from the basics of flying a kite to mastering the waves and jumps πŸŒŠπŸ„β€β™‚οΈ. The sense of accomplishment and camaraderie within the community has been inspiring, and we feel so fortunate to have been a part of it all πŸ€™ We are already looking forward to the next season and the adventures it will bring πŸ™Œ Bring on the Winter Westerlies!!
