I see I’ve posted a few pink bits on the feed of late (😏) so check out this quick pan of our hideaway bedroom including our custom splayed door trimming, facets of our golden 4 poster bed (drapey mosquito net on route), a golden starburst mirror I scored for $20 on facebook marketplace a bit back and we can’t be forgetting our starburst door escutcheon by our pal Jason over at @vintage_revival_art_co . I swear this place if filled with so many pieces from different creatives I love it! My biggest and bestest collaboration to date.☝🏼
Also, hands up who feels I should paint HUGE pink diamonds on those closet doors..?
I opted for timber doors and not mirrors because
1. There would just be way too much light reflection for my @pearl_davies_photography sessions and
2. Diamonds ♦️
Cast your votes! Give me a yay or nay for painting pink diamonds on these doors (I’ll be stealing the idea from another creative @kaitlyns.day.off ).
Inside the closet we’ve put up shelving for towels, extra blankets, even drilled in a lock and key safe for all your important bits for when you come visit. We have baby goods in there incase you bring your lil babe to stay, there’s a roller bed in there (I made sure the wardrobe was built deep enough for it to fit), there’s a kiddies high chair in there, iron and ironing board (but seriously though, I haven’t ironed since the 90’s), a luggage rack stand and more!
Seriously though s the @atomic_hideaway has everything you need for your short stay. The more we’re locked down due to covid (*cough*, so we’re currently locked down due to covid) the more I add to it.
So, yay or nay for pink diamonds..? ☝🏼👇🏼

So I had zero idea that you could purchase curtain fabric off the roll with pre-sewed rod pockets, no idea.

Say what, you didn’t know either..? Well this is your public service announcement 📣. Tell your neighbours tell your friends, tell your grandmas, especially tell your craft hacking pals that there is a better way & they no longer need to utilise staples, crazy glue or hand sew rod pockets! Have you ever seen someone stoked in the curtain isle of @spotlightstores ..? I clapped at myself, did a little dance then proceeded to tell the curtain cutting counter lady just how pleased I was with my discovery. Like there’s the invention of sliced bread, & then there’s this. Praise jebus + the haberdashery gods 🙏🏼.
I flipped a coin on wether or not I should dress this fabulous window with a curtain & now I’m glad I did. I did the main living room window & the kitchen window too (which looks super cute). I can no longer spy into the neighbours yard with ease, I need to squint now, squint.
Our fabulous signage here we’re getting ready to hang made by Holly of @atomicavocadodesigns 💯, I purchased the orange letterbox off of eBay in the US & recently scored these fun shaped placemats from either Amazon or eBay. I’ve ordered a round rug for under the table, took forever to decide but let’s see how it flows. I’ve purchased materials to do something either very clever or extremely stupid to this table top which I’ll tell you all about later when I’ve got the balls, it will either come out great or super dicey, I’m gunning for great 👌🏼.
I’ve slept in our @atomic_hideaway twice now, figuring out what needs tweaking (the coffee machine is a piece of poop, it had great reviews too). The air conditioners are fabulous & I’ve just been introduced to free to air TV.

So much orange 🧡 I love it!
So I’m not too sure as to how many peeps I thought we’d be having here at the @atomic_hideaway but I have way too many seating options, way too many. I have both original 1960’s and replica dining, I love it!
I’ve been attacking the bottoms of these chairs with my trusty glue gun felting (is that even a word 🤔) so to reduce scratching on the floors. Felt is so magical, same too with glue guns ☝🏼
