Paper Wings 2022

We'll be at the Great Hall 11am till 3pm!!
The world’s largest paper plane championship is back. In Red Bull Paper Wings, the idea is simple and ingenious: No fuel. No engines. Participants must simply make a plain sheet of A4 paper fly as far, as long or as artistically through the air as possible.
In conjunction with the NU Alliance, Red Bull is hosting a Quali-flyer at the University of Newcastle on the 16th of March 2022, where students will compete in the categories Longest Distance & Longest Airtime for a chance to be flown on an all-expenses paid trip to Austria to compete in the World Final!
Red Bull are offering the NU Alliance club/society with the highest percentage of members that participate on the day a $500 Bar Tab to any King St Group venue (King St, Argyle, Cambo, Greenroof), which is only redeemable for the members who participate on the day, and to be in the running each club/society must have a minimum of 15 members participate.
Red Bull are also holding a Paper Wings After Party from 7:30pm at Argyle House for anyone who's keen, with the first 100 participants on the day receiving a voucher for a complimentary Red Bull Vodka!
