Following on with our recent post about more seats out of Brisbane with Emirates, American Airlines has announced that from 27th October this year, they will be commencing a direct Brisbane to Dallas route.
This is great news for travellers from the Sunshine state looking to head stateside. Dallas is also a great gateway for those looking to head to Mexico, South America or the Caribbean.
The Brisbane Dallas route will be the longest on the American Airlines network with a total flying time of 15 hours.
We are yet to know what plane they are operating however it is good news regardless.
More capacity means lower fares!

Good news for Queenslanders looking to travel, as Emirates has announced that they will be increasing their capacity out of Brisbane from 1st October 2024.
Currently Emirates fly twice daily out of Brisbane with an Airbus A350 and a Boeing 777. The schedule will not change, but what will change is that the Boeing 777 will be replaced with a modern Airbus A380.
The A380 carries approximately 250 more passengers, 40 of these being business and first class seats.
Increased capacity, either by larger aircraft or increased departures, is welcomed news. This should help drive prices down, allowing more people to travel the world.
