I have to say I'm totally excited to announce this and close a chapter that I loved so much. That is the corner stone of the success I'm experiencing today.
5 years ago I made the crazy decision to start a wedding makeup business (mainly because I'm obsessed with weddings and had a skill for wedding makeup). I met some of the most beautiful people, had the biggest laughs and helped brides stay insanely calm on their wedding day.
Bridezillas? For some reason out of all the hundreds of weddings I did, there was not one bridezilla! I was blessed to have hundreds of brides that I really got along with.
Even more than that I loved loved loved working with the wedding suppliers like Noosa Heads Celebrant Jacqueline Gray Blooms of Noosa Silk Hair and Makeup Anya Maria Photography on the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Brisbane. I have lifelong friends from the wedding industry who were a major part of my success.
Now you may know that a year and a half ago I had my 3rd baby and went back to weddings when he was just 5 weeks old. I have to say weddings just weren't the same for me anymore. It was the biggest ordeal getting 3 kids (including a brand new breast feeding baby) looked after on weekends and for trials (because my hubby used to work away too).
So a year ago I stopped taking on any further wedding bookings and started building my business Mums Juggling Act (all things business, babies and big dreams) + building my hubby's business Ifixit Autocare - Mobile Mechanic Noosa & Sunshine Coast in order to completely change our lifestyle for more family time and less ridiculous working hours.
I'm happy to report that theses businesses are successful and I've been able to complete my last makeup jobs and hubby has been able to leave his job and work full time in his business.
A part of me is sad to say goodbye to the good times I had with bridal parties and the heart felt thank yous they sent after. But this process was planned. I knew exactly how I wanted my juggling act to look like and that I no longer wanted to leave my babies on the weekends and weekdays while I did weddings and trials. It was a lifestyle choice that I had to plan a long time ago, as weddings are always booked well in advance.
Thank you to all my past brides, you were a gift to me and I wouldn't be having my success today without you.
So goodbye to my makeup and hello to 100% focus for my online business for mums juggling babies, business and big dreams.
Thank you, I will miss you, but I'm exactly where I need to be now...
Love Jana xx
