Smock On

Smock On Primary & High School art classes held at St. Benedict's Primary Art Room in Mango Hill.
(7)

Smock On has taught art since 2013 and offers weekly after school art classes to both Primary and High School students during normal school term. Smock On's lessons are carefully planned to provide students a variety of experience with using different mediums to create high quality art work. Whilst creative art is often is used as a form of therapy to manage behaviours and development for the youn

ger years, our experience in this industry have been backed up by a current registered teacher who has accumulated 30 years of teaching under her belt and her co-partner with a background in psychology.

Dear Parents,

As Smock On celebrated its 10th Year Anniversary on December 2023, we also made a very difficult decision to discontinue our art classes. We have learnt a lot, had many laughs and proud tears, and have enjoyed various life changing experiences over the decade.

Thank you for all of your never ending support, we will forever be grateful. We are going to miss creating art pieces with our students. However, we feel it’s time to move on and embark on our next adventure.

We wish all students and parents the very best and hope that you’ll be able to continue your artistic journey in the near future.

Much Love Always,
Suzanne & Peggy

As you will have noticed, our photos have changed. It is with great sadness and regret that we may no longer take photos of our students interacting in class, and of their pride as they show off their latest creation. Below is one of the conditions in our lease of the art rooms we have to sign -

The Organisation and any personnel who attend the School site or carry out the Activity must not make any social media, email or phone communication with students and must not photograph or record images of students or post photos or images of students

To everyone who has been in touch, sorry for the delay in getting back. All correspondences either via email or FB WILL be responded to by Monday 30th Jan. We have received them all but due to technicalities, need the extra time to respond.

Again, exisiting students from Term 4 2022 will be given priority for enrolment before new vacancies are open. We will only be running Primary classes (Wednesday and Thursday afternoons) in Term 1 2023.

Advanced/High School class will be put on hold till Term 2 if we can secure an available room from the school. Sorry for all the inconvenience. We’ll be in touch very soon xx

Happy 2023! We hope your Christmas family time was blessed and special.

Looking forward to term 1, we are holding 7 weeks of classes - 6 Feb to 24 Mar. Primary classes will again be taught on Wednesdays and Thursdays this year.

At this stage, we have been unable to secure premises for our High School classes. St Benedict’s Primary will be using their art room for after school STEM activities. At the end of last year, we contacted St Benedict’s College about hiring one of their art rooms for our advanced lessons and we will pass on their final decision soon.

We are currently working on term one’s student list. Priority is given to existing students. If you were with us in 2022, please let us know if you intend continuing lessons. When we finalise numbers for existing students, we will issue invitations to those on our waiting list.

Peggy and I are excited about the art pieces we will creating this year. Looking forward to seeing your smiling faces soon.
