On our Wet Season spectacular tour today, we explored Mt Borradaile through the paperbark rainforest on paths that are created by roads in the dry season.

These paths open out to beautiful, large billabongs covered in a variety of lilies and wild rice grass plains.

This is why they call the end of the Wet Season the lush, green season…!

Flinders Island is one of 52 islands in the Furneaux Group in Bass Strait.
It is an island of spectacular contrasts being mountainous and rugged as well as having some of the most idyllic beaches in Australia, where if there is more than one person on it it’s considered a crowd.

One thing is for sure Flinders Island is truly unique!

The Principal and students of Tloma Primary School made us very welcome.

They’d prepared songs for us and asked us plenty of questions about what our careers entailed, what our favourite food was etc. They showed us their workbooks and were very keen to be close to us, holding hands etc.

The children really appreciated the boxes of exercise books and also our monetary contribution. It was a heartwarming visit and it really spelt out to us the plight of getting enough educational tools but also the leaps and bounds that are being made with extra help. Beautiful kids 💕

Air Adventure is the creation of pioneer pastoralist and bush pilot, the late Rod Dyer. It was Rod’s adventurous spirit and love of remote Australia which inspired him to begin taking groups of travellers to share his experience of the outback.

The Dyer family has lived and worked in the outback since the mid 1900’s and we have been offering air tours as ‘Air Adventure Australia’ since 1977. We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you on board your own adventure to experience the Australia less travelled…
