To be honest I thought I’d see more in Sri Lanka but it’s only in the past few days that they have appeared. We just turned around so I could buy this fabulous orange one!

If you are booked for Sri Lanka, prepare to support the local women and buy a basket (or two!) Great for the beach …. hello Maldives! 🩵

I’m exploring a new country and with that comes lots of wonderful new discoveries but also some challenges.

My job is to sort the challenges to create the best experience possible for guests. For me that means clean and comfortable accommodation, delicious, authentic meals, opportunities to connect with local people, learning about the culture, and of course a little shopping!

Our Southern India tour explores Tamil Nadu and Kerela. It’s a slower pace than the Northern tour and all of the hotels have a pool.

🩵💙 Jodphur, the blue city of Rajasthan has been a fabulous stop on our Royal Rajasthan tour.

We have toured the spectacular fort and had a wonderful dinner on the fort. We explored local villages and farms. And I did I mention the shopping is good?! 😂

Our heritage hotel provided a tranquil garden for some down time. 🙏

How many is too many? 😂

Our tour philosophy is no regrets. No one wants to hear about the red shoes you wished you had bought. You are probably only going to here once so buy the shoes if you love them!!

Shopping on tours is always fun and although I have been to all of these places many times, I do buy if I love something! (And it would appear that I loved a lot on recent tours) 😂😂😂!!

My suitcase is permanently packed and I’m always looking for my next adventure!

I was not always adventurous. I was that homesick child, unable to go on school camps. Hard to believe now, as I have been travelling the world, often solo, since I was 21.

My love affair with Asia began with a high school exchange to Japan and continued to grow while living in Singapore and Hong Kong. I've always been crafty and ran an online craft business for twelve years. I enjoy paper craft, crochet, embroidery and anything handmade. Despite having several projects on the go and a craft studio full of supplies, purchasing textiles is a weakness when I travel.

In 2018 l launched Authentic Global Travel, combining my passion for textiles with travel. My mission is to create tours with thoroughly planned itineraries, enriching travel experiences and the piece of mind that everything is taken care of.
