On Easter Sunday, April 13, 1884, Mr. Justice Boucaut carried the first hives of Italian Ligurian bees to Kangaroo Island, marking the beginning of a unique chapter in Australian apiculture. These bees, renowned for their purity, were destined for American River. 🐝🌊
