On the road for our last short leg home 💕

Today is HOME day !!
To say I’m excited is an understatement!
Kids be scared …be VERY scared !!
I have 10 1/2 months of hugs awaiting you !!
Oh and my cats Luna and Loki …sorry NOT sorry , you’re going to hate me cos I also have 10 1/2 months of hugs waiting for you 😂😂

Have loved our journey, Steve and I have ( mostly ) been a great team ( with the exception of occasional grumpiness) , we have played 100’s of games of Upwords, 5 Crowns, Phase 10, sequence, scrabble, Yahtzee , Bananagrams & Tenzies , I’ve made a couple of quilt fronts, sewn many gifts, had fun with paint by numbers !

Over 33,000km , 115 times we’ve stopped to set up caravan in various sites !
Seen the most beautiful sunsets/sunrises and had a more than ample opportunity to visit places in this beautiful country of ours 🇦🇺 .
Today after we arrive home ( maybe tomorrow) we will unpack the caravan, give her and the car a DEEP clean .
We won’t be heading off anywhere for a little while as it’s the festive season so the Christmas Tree will go up tomorrow 🤞🏻 if I can find it 😂
Thank you to our wonderful Children Todd, Abbey and James for keeping the home going !
Special thanks to James who has gone above and beyond ( he has his own house to run ) for keeping the garden tidy and mown as well as looking after our pool , you are a wizard 💕

We drove 709km today from Eucla to Norseman….bloody long day but we broke it up with a few stops, I (Tracey ) drove 110km of it, Steve the champ he is drove the rest !
2 more sleeps and only 741km to go until we are home !
We will have a shorter drive tomorrow as only going to Merredin , then Thursday we drive the last leg to arrive home around early afternoon 🥰
We can’t wait to see the kids and kitties and to sleep in our own beds 🥰

We are now back in WA !
We drove 504km today in f which I drove 200 and Steve the rest !
We still have 1447km to go 👌🏻

Farewell Flinders Ranges …..homeward bound 💕 bittersweet!

Today was the very last day of our “ Holiday “ tomorrow we head for home …which will take us 5 days !
Our stay at Rawnsley Park Station in the Flinders Ranges has been absolutely fantastic…the company has been outstanding, many thanks to Linda, Graeme and Julia for helping us wrap up our 10 1/2 months journey with a bang !
Lots of cups of tea, food, drinks, laughs, some fabulous drives around the ranges and just a bloody great time .
This morning Steve and Graeme took a scenic flight of Wilpena Pound and the ranges ( I wasn’t keen )
We finished off with a beautiful dinner at The Woolshed , I forgot to take a photo of the food …it was delicious.
This whole trip has been a real adventure, so many amazing memories to make with Steve 🫶🏼 as much as I know Ive driven him up the wall , I wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else 🥰
Homeward bound Saturday…..I can not wait to hug my kids and to meet some new additions to our family 💕

What a wonderful time we are having in the Flinders Ranges ….staying at Rawnsley Park Station with some absolutely wonderful people, Linda ,Graeme and Julia !
It’s been brilliant getting to finish of our lap of Australia by spending time with you 🥰
Lots of sightseeing, eating , drinking and laughs .
The wildlife has been plentiful, tons of Emus with babies, a yellow footed rock wallaby, mountain goats, lots of kangaroos, wedge tailed eagles !
It’s been fabulous !
Today we went to Parachilna for lunch and had the Ferral mixed grill , which consisted of a goat tomahawk( lol the size of a lamb chop 😂) a camel bratwurst, an emu patty and kangaroo .
It was interesting that’s for sure 😉
The weather has been cooler than the NT and the nights are very pleasant.
We are 1 week from home now !
Very much looking forward to seeing and hugging my children 🩵💚💙

Such a wonderful weekend at Port Augusta, Nicole , Rob, Nat and Marshall , all joined us ( 3.5 hours drive each way ) for our stop here !
We feel very blessed to have these gorgeous people in our lives .
Yesterday we visited the Wadlata Outback Centre , lots of very interesting things to explore .
Followed by a bbq dinner . Today we went to the Botanical Gardens but sadly most of the flowers are already gone …found a few cute kangaroos .
We indulged in some ice cream , we had Lemon Mertyle and native Lime …it was absolutely delicious.
Then played Catan ( hurt my brain 😂)
But still a fun afternoon.
We are having pizza on the bbq thanks to Nicole and Rob 👌🏻
Tomorrow we head off to the Flinders Ranges with a wonderful couple Linda and Graeme whom we met on the road while in Victoria.
5 nights then it’s the long slog home !

But bonus I have 2 of our friends drive 3.5 hours to join us for the weekend !

This morning we said goodbye to the Northern Territory and hello 👋🏻 to South Australia!
We were stopping at Cadney Homestead for the night but decided to push on and head to Coober Pedy a day early .
A nice surprise with a shade over the caravan bay 👌🏻 helps keep the caravan cooler 🥰

Segway and walking tour around Uluṟu.
There were many places you are not allowed to photograph as they are classed as sensitive sites .
Our tour guide Betty was very engaging, she was very knowledgeable, which made the tour fabulous.
We had lots of fun 👌🏻

Wake up to a thunderstorm ⛈️
Very dark, windy but so much cooler , have opened the windows to freshen up the caravan after weeks of being tightly sealed with aircon going 24/7 ….I know it’s passing quickly so as soon as that wind starts warming up I shall close up 👌🏻

Last night we visited the Lights towers at Kings Canyon .
Each tower is made with hand made bottles all filled with fibre optic lights . All up there are 15,000 bottles in this display .
