Balcony or no balcony?
If you like fresh air then definitely a balcony. It is a great private space to enjoy in both hot and cold climates.

Any 'Death in Paradise' fans out there? The detective show is filmed on the island of Guadaloupe. Its a big island, but the show is filmed in Deshaies (called Saint Marie in the tv show). Fun to see the Honore Police station and a few other 'familiar' locations.

Embarkation: Port of Antigua and Barbuda

Nice to be on the little ship on the left. From left to right, the other ships in port that day were Sea Dream (far far left of pier), Emeral Azzurra, Silversea, Viking and one I never heard of.

Match made in heaven.

I found my perfect match, the Emerald Azzurra.
Imagine a sleek, understated ship that feels like the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. With only 63 staff and 100 guests, and everyone is happy to be there.

The food is served hot and no special request is too much trouble.
Casual day and evening .
Plenty of opportunity to get wet. Onboard pool, whirlpool bath, marina platform with aquatic toys (including a Seabob which is like an aquatic scooter that pulls you through or under the water). Snorkeling outings and excursions.

Ask me any questions you have while I am onboard or when I return home.

Emerald Yacht Cruising is the 'little sister' to the well know Scenic Eclipse. The Azzurra, built in 2022 is the first of 3 Emerald luxury yachts. The Sakara built in 2023 and the new Kaia will welcome you in 2026.
With only 50 cabins accommodating up to 100 guests this is true small ship cruising.
A marina platform provides a playground to the sea with opportunity to snorkel, kayak and paddleboard.

This is South America the Scenic way.
Always grateful when clients share their experience and photos.

Imagine staying at the beautiful Belmond Cataratas Hotel (on the Brazil side), walking distance to Iguassu Falls. This hotel is surrounded by rainforest. After the day tourist leave the area, hotel guests are able to continue exploring the park into the evening. Imagine a Full Moon photo opportunity at the falls.
The bridge walk looks exceptional.
After touring Argentina and Brazil, you may choose to continue your expedition on the Scenic Eclipse into Antarctica

The trip by ferry to the MONA museum was great but the highlight was definitely the helicopter to Bruny Island 🚁 (we landed in a paddock)
And of course I managed an afternoon birding, and was pleased to capture this handsome male Superb Fairy Wren which is not found in Western Australia

I’ve wanted to see this Expedition cruise line for a long time but as an expedition company it spends most of its time in the Kimberley or Papua or Tasmania….
Very happy to hop onboard as she passed through Perth.
This was the Coral Adventurer accommodating max 120 passengers. Quite a casual atmosphere and experience with all emphasis on the destination, getting you onshore and immersed in the culture and wilderness.
A sample of the rooms starting with the suite, then balcony, then window and finally porthole.
Dining was also quite casual and there are wooden tables (no tablecloths) so it’s more environmentally friendly.

Sweet (suite) Sunday ship inspection. Silversea Silver Cloud in Fremantle. She is a small Expedition ship complete with zodiacs for Arctic waters or tropics (such as the Kimberley).
Lunch onboard was delightful

If you've ever wondered what cruising in Antarctica is like, this is an image a client sent me of their recent kayak expedition. Humpback whales so close you can almost touch them. I cant get over how beautiful this is.
With Scenic Eclipse, you can helicopter, submarine, kayak and more.
