📈 Skilled Visa Income Thresholds Rising from 1 July 2025!
According to the government website, from 1 July 2025, skilled visa income thresholds will increase by 4.6%, reflecting Australia’s wage growth and helping protect local workers.
What does this mean?
Income thresholds set the minimum annual salary that employers must pay skilled visa nominees under certain visa streams. This ensures skilled migrants receive competitive wages and do not undercut Australian workers.
Key changes include:
• Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT) rising from $73,150 to $76,515
• Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT) rising from $135,000 to $141,210
• Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) rising to $76,515
These updated thresholds apply to new nomination applications for visas such as the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (subclass 494), Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186), and Skills in Demand (subclass 482). Existing visa holders and nominations lodged before 1 July 2025 are not affected.
