Entry Requirements for Passengers travelling to India from or Via high risk countries such as China, Hongkong, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Japan

Covid-19 Test Requirements MAY BE REQUIRED
Before arrival
Most passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, do not have to present a negative test result.

However, all passengers traveling from, or transiting through China, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan, do have to comply with the following test requirement:

Negative test result

Test type accepted: RT-PCR.
Time window: 72 hours before departure.
Applicable age: 12 years old and above.
Keep in mind:
The test result must be uploaded on the Air Suvidha portal https://www.newdelhiairport.in/ and presented upon arrival.
Passengers traveling from, or transiting through China, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan have to take this test (RT-PCR).
Upon arrival
All passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, are subject to medical screening.
All passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, could be subject to a test upon arrival.
Exception: Passengers younger than 12 years.
After arrival
Passengers should self-monitor their health after arrival and shall also report their nearest health facility or call the National helpline number (1075) in case they have any symptoms.

Holiday Season is just about to begin. Most of you are packing bags for your much awaited holiday. Here are 10 handy tips to make your holiday a hassle free one.

1. Travel Documents:
Check all the travel documents like passport and visas when you book your tickets.
Print your tickets at least 4 days before departure and reconfirm the timings.

2. Covid Related Restrictions:
Most countries have lifted COVID related travel restrictions but its advisable to check travel advisories for your destination and transit country and airline to check if any restrictions apply.
Some countries or airlines may ask you to show COVID negative reports or proof of vaccination.
Most airlines still recommend Masks

3. Web Check-in:
Web Check in is highly recommended. It usually opens 48 Hours before departure for most airlines. Take your time out to do web check in.
You will have a choice of reassigning your seats at this stage if you are not happy with seat selection. If you have not been assigned a seat at all, then this is the time when you will have more seats to choose from than at the airport. Most importantly when the flights are over booked during holiday season, airlines can deny boarding for late check in.

4. Arrive early at the airport:
International Check in opens 4.5 hours and Domestic check in opens 90 mins before the departure. Its extremely important to check in early especially during holiday times when flights are overbooked. Ensure to arrive early considering long ques at check in and security clearance. Also consider the traffic on roads when its holiday season.

5. Special Meal:
If you have requested special meal (like Hindu Vegetarian Meal, Hindu Non Veg meal, Moslem Meal, Oriental Meal, Diabetic meal, Child meal etc), please mention this to your travel agent. Ensure this shows on the itinerary when you do web check in. If there is a problem, speak to your agent since most of these special meals need to be confirmed at least 24 Hours before the flight.

6. Special Assistance:
Bassinet seats are limited in number on any plane. Only a few designated seats have the provision to put a bassinet. If you are travelling with Infant, ensure bassinet is confirmed at the time of booking your flight to avoid last minute disappointments.
Need Wheelchair assistance? Ensure you mention this to your travel agent when booking your flights so they can be confirmed well in advance

7. Baggage:
Check the baggage allowance that will be printed on the ticket. Stay within your baggage limit to avoid excess baggage charges.
Pack smartly for the travel. Do not pack any bag heavier than 23 kg as most of the airlines have restriction to max weight allowed per piece. Ensure your hand bag meets the dimension standards and not exceeding 7kg in weight. Do not pack any liquid/ aerosols, sharp scissors, knives in the hand baggage. Check the airline websites for list of prohibited items. Keep the laptops or other electronic devices easily accessible so they can be taken out and packed back easily at security check.

8. Travelling with young children:
Ensure you have packed smartly when you are travelling with young kids. Try to check in all bags and have very less luggage on hand. Its wiser to carry any hand held video game or iPad to keep them entertained if your flight is longer. Ensure you carry milk and baby food when travelling with infants. Milk or baby food may not always be available on flight unless you have pre requested.

9. Contact Numbers:
Have phone numbers of your hotel, airline customer service or travel agent, and phone numbers of your friend or relative at the destination handy.

10. Chill and Enjoy:
Keep your cool and enjoy your holidays

Entry into UAE for Customers With Single Name on their Passport

Effective 22nd November 2022, as per UAE National Advance Information Centre (NAIC), customers holding a single name on their passport will not be accepted for travel into UAE. This rule does not apply to customers transiting via UAE.

As the regulation does not impact flight operations and is focused on the customer’s name on their travel document, rebooking and reroute options are not permitted.

Customers holding a single name on their passport and who issued their tickets on/before 22nd November 2022 are permitted to refund their tickets. Please process your refund via GDS, with a remark in the waiver field ‘RFND SNGL NAME’.

This rule does not apply to the following:
Residents of the United Arab Emirates (holding a valid residence visa).
Passengers with an employment visa issued by the United Arab Emirates.
Passengers with a valid United Arab Emirates I.D Card.
