With the school holidays just around the corner, entertaining kids can get quite expensive so why not keep the costs down and check out some of our favourite free spots here in the city. The City is ever-changing, with pop-up shops, new restaurants, and fun and exciting events happening all the time. These school holidays are the perfect time to come and see what's new or check out some old favourites.
🚲Playground at Wellington Square 🏃‍♂️
Wellington Square has a $17.5 Million facelift, turning this area into a community hub. It officially opened in April this year and now offers nature play, a skate park, parkour activities, a flying fox, embankment slides, a pump track, waterplay, climbing towers, as well as basketball courts, and oval. Along with new BBQ facilities and seating areas, this is a great free option for a fun family day out
🚒DFES Heritage Museum 🔥
Have you checked out this hidden gem? Located in Perth's original fire station building, this was the first purpose-built fire station in WA. Wander through the displays showcasing the history of the WA fire services. There is a vintage truck and equipment on display and your kids will love dressing up with the fire hats and clothes.
