The out of office is (almost) on! We’re currently taking a winter break for some much needed R&R to get ourselves refreshed and ready to go for a big second half of 2024.

Tours will resume 'as usual' starting from Friday 6th September with our half day Swan Valley Wine Adventure.

Last night, we had the pleasure of joining the Swan Valley Winemakers to celebrate their Old Vine Charter, which was officially launched by Huon Hooke, The Real Review. Many people don't realise that, being Australia’s second oldest wine region, the Swan Valley is home to many blocks of ‘Old Vines’ – some of which are well over 100 years old! This charter now means that wines made from Old Vines in the Swan Valley, will now have an official classification and age statement. More importantly, this charter helps to recognise the story and legacy of generations of winemaking families, and their significant contribution to the success of the West Australian wine industry. We are so pleased to see this important project come to life, and even more excited to share the wines and their stories on our Swan Valley wine tours 🍷

Sharing some of the LOVE today that we've received in some recent reviews ❤️ We honestly meet lots of really lovely people on our tours, from all walks of life, most of whom have plenty of interesting stories about wine, food and travel - which of course is right in our wheelhouse! As the saying goes, a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet, and most days it really is just like that. Given the current weather, it seems only appropriate to to our trip to NZ last Winter ❄️ Most people who know us, are aware that most of our holidays are planned around a wine region (or two 🥂) ...this time we ticked off a large portion of the Central Otago region, as well as the Waipara Valley in North Canterbury. Yes, we complained about being cold the entire trip. Yes, somehow we came home in one piece - but safe to say there any no more ski holidays in the works for us! We did however sample plenty of wine and food from the South Island to keep us warm.

What did we take away from this little bit of R&D? An even greater appreciation of how lucky we are here in WA. Over 75% of the Central Otago plantings are Pinot Noir, and whilst the majority of what we sampled was of a high quality, it wasn't nearly as exciting as the breadth and range of wine styles and varietals that we have access to within mere minutes of where we live.

We celebrated #ChampagneDay a little early this year, with a hands on disgorging workshop last weekend. All of our guests got to tailor make their own bottles of Méthode traditionnelle sparkling to drink today... on #WorldChampagneDay!
